My Probio-Lite Review (2024) – Scam Or Really Works?

It's time for my Probio-Lite review – which is one of the best probiotics I came across:

  • 2-in-1 treatment
  • based on the most essential strains of bacteria
  • helpful for several other issues

So are there any chances that this product is a scam?

Not really – given that it offers a 365-days money back guarantee (which is very rare).

In fact, Probio-Lite is one of my top recommended probiotics.

So let me give you all the facts why it's a really worth buying product.

LATER EDIT: Probio-Lite is discontinued at the moment.

Review Summary

Full Name: Probio-Lite from Healthy Trends Worldwide

Product Type: Probiotic

Best Actual Price: Around $49 (but you can also get it for about $39)

Cheapest Place To Buy: Discontinued at the moment

Designed For: Fighting acid reflux and improving digestive health.

It also helps with additional issues like:

  • promoting gut health
  • improving immunity
  • supporting general health

My Rating: 9.50 out of 10It's a great option

Recommended?: Definitely – it's a great probiotic for regular use/maintenance:

  • works both for gut health and acid reflux
  • treats the actual cause behind acid reflux
  • contains some excellent bacterial strains
  • huge money back guarantee (365 days)

So it's a product I would strongly recommend you to try – at any time.

LATER EDIT: At the moment, Probio-Lite is discontinued and no longer available.

What I Liked About It

  • Based on 9 essential probiotic strains
  • Works both as a probiotic and an acid-reflux treatment
  • Excellent formula with high doses
  • Only requires one pill per day
  • Doesn't cause almost any side effects
  • Worked really well in my case
  • Is a great option for maintenance
  • Price can be over $15 cheaper than initially
  • Has a 365 days money back guarantee

What I Didn't Like About It

  • No individual doses for each bacterial strain
  • Only available on the official website (the original version, at least)
  • Not too many authentic user opinions
  • Quite expensive if you only buy one bottle
  • Shipping is free only for (at least) 2 bottles

4 Reasons Why I Recommend It

There are 4 main reasons why I'm a big fan of this product.

If you ask me – it's one of the best supplements you can get from this category.

1. 2-In-1 Product

Probio-Lite is pretty much the only probiotic that is designed for some additional issues as well:

  • improves digestive problems
  • fights and treats acid reflux

Obviously – it also balances and improves gut health.

But that's something most probiotics can do.

On the other hand, this supplements has 2 extra benefits that are very rare (in the good way).

2. Treats The Cause Inside

When it comes to acid reflux, Probio-Lite works by solving the actual problem:

  • fights bacteria that cause GERD
  • boosts the growth of healthy bacteria

So it's also one step ahead of anti-acids and other drugs (which only hide the symptoms).

That's why it has a major advantage here.

I actually tried it out myself and I can confirm that its effect is great.

3. Essential Strains

Many supplements of this kind only contain 3-5 bacterial strains.

Others contain more – but either in lower doses or some less important ones.

On the other hand, Probio-Lite is different here:

  • based on best 9 bacterial strains
  • pretty good doses overall

So there's nothing to complain about it in terms of composition – on the contrary.

4. 365-Days Guarantee

The best way to see if a supplement works in most cases is to check its refund rate:

  • low-quality products tend to have a huge refund rate
  • high-quality ones are rarely returned

Now – no brand will ever tell you their products' refund rate.

But you can use their money-back guarantee as a trick.

That's because products that are often refunded will rarely have a money-back guarantee.

At most – they might have a 7-14 days one.

Still, products that are rarely returned tend to have long refund periods.

And that's the case of Probio-Lite as well.

If it didn't work – why would the brand offer to refund out for a full year?

To me, that's the best proof that it's a great product.

#1 – Claims & Producer

Let's begin by giving you some general facts about Probio-Lite:

  • what issues it helps most
  • how exactly it works
  • who is the company behind it
1. Claims

Probio-Lite isn't the typical probiotic supplement.

Instead, what makes it stand out is that it's a 2-in-1 product:

  1. Helps with gut balance and health (like every probiotic does).
  2. Fights acid reflux and digestive problems as well.

Basically, it's both a probiotic and an anti-acid reflux supplement.

To be honest – I don't know any other product that can do both.

But it's such a versatile supplement because of its mechanism of action:

  • Acid reflux (GERD) is actually caused by a mix of bacteria in the intestines
  • These bacteria are present in huge quantities in people with GERD
  • Probio-Lite actually decreases their level
  • It also promotes the growth of healthier bacteria

In other words – it treats acid reflux by treating the actual cause behind it.

And luckily, treating this cause means improving gut health and good bacteria as well.

So in terms of promises, it really keeps its word and does what it claims.

Plus – its claims are backed-up by clinical evidence and studies, so it's a completely legit product.

2. Producer

Probio-Lite is made by a brand called Healthy Trends Worldwide.

Now – the brand itself is pretty little know, which is surely a downside.

However, it seems to have several other supplements in its portofolio – designed for:

  • high blood pressure
  • joint health and arthritis
  • general cleanse

Still, all these products come with a long money-back guarantee.

So that's the biggest sign that they're not a scam or questionable supplement.

#2 –  Formula (9.50 out of 10)

This supplement has one of the best formulas among all probiotics:

  • contains 9 essential probiotic strains
  • overall doses are high enough (5 CFU)
  • it's only based on natural ingredients

This composition makes it perfect for a regular use.

That's because it's not very strong – so it's not only suitable for people with gut issues.

Now, many probiotics contain animal-derived or unhealthy compounds.

In many cases, those are labeled as “inactive ingredients”.

But when it comes to Probio-Lite, things look much better than in most competitors.

So judging after its ingredients, it's definitely one of the strongest probiotics out there.

Still – let's take a closer look at its 9 compounds.

Keep in mind that all the strains below are designed to improve gut health and balance.

But I will focus more on their additional benefits (besides the classic ones):

  1. L. Acidophilus – reduces diarrhea, cramps and inflammation. [1]
  2. L. Salivarius – decreases tissue inflammation.
  3. L. Plantarum – improves digestion and immunity. [2]
  4. L. Rhamnosus – relieves IBS symptoms and fights diarrhea. [3]
  5. B. Lactis – strengthens immunity and aids digestive health. [4]
  6. B. Bifidum – has a major role in improving the immune system.
  7. L. Fermentum – reduces cholesterol and general inflammation.
  8. L. Reuteri – fights pathogenic microbes and bad bacteria.
  9. B. Longum – improves digestive and infectious issues. [5]

As you can see, Probio-Lite contains the most essential bacterial strains.

Surprisingly – many other probiotics lack some of these compounds (and contain some less-useful ones).

So in terms of ingredients, Probio-Lite looks awesome.

The only thing I don't like is that there's no individual dose for each strain.

Still – most probiotics don't disclose this, so it's a general downside for this group of supplements.

But overall, Probio-Lite remains an excellent choice.

Conclusion

This supplement is based on the top strains of bacteria (according to current research).

So if you need a classic yet effective formulation, I strongly recommend it.

You will get all the good bacteria you need in one product only.

#3 – Pills & Dosage (10 out of 10)

Here's what you should know about this supplement's features.

1. Pills

Like most probiotics, Probio-Lite is formulated as capsules:

  • average dimensions
  • covered in gelatin

Now – capsules are probably the easiest-to-swallow type of pills.

That's why I always prefer supplements formulated as capsules.

Compared to tablets, they are a lot easier to swallow.

2. Dosage

This supplement has a really big advantage here through the fact that it only requires a pill per day.

Now – the tricky part is related to how you should take it:

  1. You can take it at any time of the day.
  2. It's recommended to do it on an empty stomach.
  3. According to the label, 20-30 minutes before a meal is the best time.

However, some people have a more sensitive stomach.

So if they take certain pills before eating – they may not feel great.

If that's your case as well, you may want to take Probio-Lite right after eating.

The effect should be the same – but your stomach may respond better.

So it's definitely up to your personal preference.

#4 – Results (6 out of 10)

As in all cases, I tried to look at Probio-Lite's customer feedback.

In my view – that's the easiest way to see whether a product really works or not.

But this supplement seems to have very few user reviews, which is surely not a good thing.

However, I also tried it out myself – just to see if it's really worth it or not.

1. What People Say

Now, Probio-Lite is only sold on its official website.

Typically – products of this kind have very few authentic user reviews.

So there's no surprise about Probio-Lite.

Besides – I always avoid the opinions from official pages (as they are usually biased).

As for this supplement, there are indeed a few 3rd party reviews – but most of them are general:

  • mostly info about the product itself
  • very few reviewers have actually tried the product
  • few details about it really works

Now – I did find a few comments from people who really tried this supplement.

And the overall feedback was very positive.

However, they are too little to judge it fairly.

Also – a similar version of this supplement seems to be available on Amazon:

  1. Producer has a similar name and logo.
  2. Its label also looks about the same.
  3. Formula is not the same.
  4. Price is also a bit lower.

Now – keep in mind that the product sold on Amazon is not the same as the original version.

It's probably only a fake version – so make sure you only buy the product from its official page.

That if you really want to get the best results and effect.

2. My Experience

I have actually tested out Probio-Lite myself, just to see how it works:

  • I have no acid reflux or major digestive issues
  • I did have a lower number of good bacteria
  • that's because I used some antibiotics before

So after using it for about 2 months, I can tell that I really loved this product:

  1. My stomach started feeling better after about a week.
  2. I was less bloated than before.
  3. My general condition and mood were a lot better.
  4. I had absolutely no side effects

Now – I also had some tests after I gave up this probiotic.

And guess what? My bacteria levels were back to normal, so it really works.

I could continue taking it for several months on, since it's suitable for daily use.

However – once my bacteria levels improved, there was no need to.

Still, I was very satisfied with it overall – so I totally recommend it.

Conclusion

Probio-Lite doesn't have too many user opinions.

But since it's only available on its official website, that's somehow normal.

Still – its 365 days guarantee is the best proof that it really works.

Otherwise, why would they allow you to refund it for such a long time (if it was really weak)?

So it's a supplement I would strongly recommend, at any time.

#5 – Side Effects (10 out of 10)

Probiotics are a pretty safe category of supplements overall.

That's because they rarely cause side effects (especially significant ones).

And Probio-Lite doesn't make an exception here.

Now – it's true that it doesn't have too many user reviews.

So it's hard to talk about its side effects when you have no actual evidence from previous users.

Still – it could mostly cause issues like:

  • stomach cramps
  • discomfort
  • bloating

As I said – if you experience any of these issues, try to take the pills on a full stomach.

In most cases, this simply trick will solve the problem.

But other than that, Probio-Lite is a pretty safe product overall.

#6 – Price (7 out of 10)

Probio-Lite is surely not the cheapest probiotic out there.

But given its quality and composition, it's not as pricey as it seems at first.

Besides – you can actually get it for about $10 less than its initial price.

1. The Exact Price

As I said – this supplement is only available on its official website (in the original version):

  1. Standard price is $49/bottle.
  2. There are some significant discounts for larger orders.
  3. For 3 bottles, you pay around $39/bottle.
  4. Shipping is also free for more than a bottle.

Now – $49/bottle isn't a very low price for a probiotic.

But as I said, Probio-Lite is stronger than most products from the market (it's a 2-in-1 supplement).

And if you go for a larger supply, $39/bottle seems like a much better price.

Besides, let me give you a tip:

  • there's a 10% off voucher available at times
  • it shows up before placing your order
  • it's only available for about 10 minutes

In this way you can get a bottle for about $34, which is an awesome price, honestly.

So there are ways to get this product for less – it's all about trying.

2. Worth It Or Not?

To be honest, this supplement is totally worth it.

It's true that its standard price is quite high (given that shipping isn't free).

But if you get more than a bottle, the final price is a lot more affordable.

And given its quality, Probio-Lite is totally worth the money.

Conclusion

In terms of price, Probio-Lite does indeed seem like a pricier probiotic.

But for its value, it's definitely worth the money.

And as I said – there are ways to get it much cheaper than it actually cost.

So overall, it's definitely one of best probiotics you can get right now.

#7 – Probio-Lite In 3 Ideas

Here's how I would sum up my opinion on this supplement (in 3 ideas).

1. 2-in-1 Supplement

What makes this product special is that it's not the typical probiotic:

  • improves and balances gut
  • fights acid reflux and improves digestion

In other words – it's both a probiotic and a digestive supplement.

Plus, it's a great remedy against acid reflux (as it treats the real cause behind it).

So if you ask me – it's a unique product from several points of view.

I personally don't know any probiotic that can do all that.

2. Essential Strains

One crucial aspect about any probiotic is the exact strains of bacteria it contains.

And Probio-Lite looks great at this chapter:

  • based on 9 essential bacteria
  • their overall dose is very high
  • doesn't contain any basic ingredient

So in terms of composition, it contains everything you need.

Many other probiotics only contains 3-5 essential strains in a much lower quantity overall.

3. Can Be Cheaper

At first sight, this supplement can seem quite expensive.

But its price can get better if you go for a larger quantity.

Plus – there's a 10% off voucher that is sometimes available.

So if you really want to give this product a try, you can do it for a lot less.

My Verdict – Worth It Or Not?

Short answer: No, because it's discontinued.

It's one of the best probiotics from the market, if you ask me:

  1. Works both as a probiotic and as an acid reflux treatment.
  2. Treats the actual cause of acid reflux from the inside.
  3. Contains 9 essential bacterial strains.

It's not a perfect product, to be honest.

As I told you, it's quite expensive and it's only available on its official website.

But if price is an issue for you – keep in mind that you can also get it for several dollars cheaper.

So Probio-Lite is one of the top probiotics you can get right now.

If you want a remedy for your acid reflux – or you simply want to improve your gut, it's everything you need.

If it wasn't discontinued, I would surely recommend it.

30 thoughts on “My Probio-Lite Review (2024) – Scam Or Really Works?

  1. The Probio-Lite looks like a legitimate product with a quality formula. I like that it comes with discounts as that lessens the amount of money that I have to pay for it. As long as the side effects are minimal as you seem to indicate, then there isn’t much preventing me from thinking this might be a good product to keep in mind. Thanks for sharing this type of review because it helps a lot of people like me with digestion problems.

    1. Hello, Chase26! Yes, Probio-Lite is a legit product and I myself can tell you that it’s a product of very good quality. I am glad that you find our reviews very helpful and I hope you come back to read more. Also, it’s my pleasure to help you get a discount on the best products I know as long as we can make ways to get them. Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Wow! Absolutely a fantastic product review! Thanks a million because I never knew which probiotic supplement is a real good product and that I can use confidently. Your review was very detailed and the best thing I liked about your review is that you had tried it yourself which means that you have the first-hand experience about it before you can recommend it to others. So I can be confident that this is a good product. Thanks a lot and I hope it will work wonders to me too.

    1. Hey, August! We are glad that you like the reviews we do and we are striving hard to make more quality contents that can help people. Yes, we somehow write content based on our personal experiences so that we can give our own thoughts about a certain product. Thank you for the kind content, I hope you’ll like Probio-Lite too!

  3. Honestly I haven’t seen or heard of this supplement before, but it looks great as you take it orally and it cures digestion problems in the body. I take it this is better than the last time I use it for many months! Also is it something you would take all the time, or only if you feel some discomfort in the stomach? The price is hefty I have to be honest, but thanks for the trick to get a discount atleast I can get to try it.

    1. Hi, Michel L! I understand that some products are too weak so it takes months to give the desired results. To answer your question, Probio-Lite should be taken once daily to get the optimum benefits it can give but don’t worry, you don’t need to wait for a very long time to experience its effects. As for the price, we will try to help with the price and provide discounts as much as we can. Have a nice day!

  4. Sounds like a great product. I would like to know if you are getting any compensation from the company for clicks or anything like that.
    Thank you

    1. Hi Dominic, I’m not working for the company, if that’s what you mean. If you check out the reviews from this website, you can see that I recommend various products from different brands, simply because I consider their ingredients to be really good, they have a very positive user feedback and a high quality overall. So I consider those products to be really worth buying, that’s why I recommend them. This is the case with Probio-Lite as well.

      Hope this clarifies it.

  5. Your reviews are great, but I think one thing could be improved. You measure cost, etc. always in terms of “bottles”. I guess you’re assuming one “bottle” per month, but you don’t state explicitly. Similarly, how many pills per bottle, pills per day, etc. Otherwise, very helpful.

    1. Hi Michael, thanks a lot for your feedback. In about 99% of cases, a bottle is the equivalent of a monthly supply. All supplements are formulated as much because it’s a lot easier for buyers to keep track of their remaining pills. So if you check out various supplements for different health issues, you will see that almost all of them contain a monthly supply in a bottle.

For this reason, the number of pills/bottle isn’t very relevant when it comes to price (or it’s not as relevant as the actual number of days a bottle can last). If you check out the “Pills & Dosage” part from all my reviews, you will see that I talk about the serving size there, so I do discuss how many pills you need to take per day, how/when exactly you should take them, etc.

But thanks a lot for your suggestion, it’s very appreciated.

  6. Thank you for your review. This review however does not have prebiotic mentioned. Isn’t a prebiotic needed for probiotic to work? I’m on the fence between Bio Complete 3 (I have read your review on this which led to this review) and other probiotic supplements. I don’t have acid reflux, but do have some gut issues.

    1. Hi Gina, sorry to hear about your gut issues but they should be quite easy to treat with the right probiotic. First of all, you don’t necessarily need prebiotics for probiotics to work. Prebiotics are actually designed to feed the probiotics and help them work faster – but probiotics work well enough even if they’re not combined with prebiotics. So I would say that prebiotics are somehow a bonus (but not an essential one).

Regarding Bio Complete 3, it doesn’t look amazing as a probiotic, simply because of its really low formula. It does contain some pre and postbiotic strains, so it looks great at this chapter. But as a probiotic alone, it’s quite disappointing, if you ask me. Besides, it’s quite expensive and it requires a high number of pills per day. So all in all, I don’t think it’s really worth it. It’s up to you if you want to give it a try or not, it’s your money after all.

But I personally believe Probio-Lite is a much better option when it comes to probiotics. If you only wanted a prebiotic, Bio Complete 3 might have been a better option – but as a probiotic, it’s definitely not. Hope this clarifies things a bit.

  7. I have been doing some research on this product because my son who will be turning 19 in August has Acid Reflux. He is taking a prebiotic and probiotic along with a prescribed medication from the doctor. I’m hoping to not keep him on that for long. Your review was excellent, I just have a couple questions. He is 18 now is it safe for him at this age? Also, once you start feeling better (hypothetically after 30 -60 days) once you go off the Probio Lite can the problems start up again ….. so is a 3 bottle purchase a good start? Finally, are there any serious side effects that “could” happen? I appreciate and love the fact that you tried the product!

    1. Hi Sandra, thanks a lot for your kind words, I’m glad to hear this review is helpful. Now let’s answer your questions:

      1. Probiotics are actually allowed to be taken even by people under 18, as long as the dose (CFU) is decent. However, people over 18 can take probiotics without any worries, because in terms of safety, they are completely suitable for this age. So your son can start taking Probio-Lite without any problem. This supplement actually contains a great dose for daily use (5 billion CFU VS other products that contain up to 60 billion CFU/serving), so it’s really safe from this point of view.

      2. I actually advise him to give up Probio-Lite (or any other supplement) once he starts felling better and try to see how things go without it. If the symptoms appear again, he can restart the probiotic for another month or 2 and then continue giving it up and so on. But based on my experience, most people feel better once they give it up and there’s no need for them to start taking it again. That’s because the probiotic improves their gut and the existing bacteria – so once their gut is better, it doesn’t need any extra help because it can do its job properly. So a 3 months supply is perfect for your son, in my view.

      3. Probiotics are generally very safe and well tolerated, so there’s no serious side effect that appears on a regular basis. At most, he may be dealing with some stomach cramps, but that’s very unlikely. So if this happens, he should try taking the product right after eating and the cramps should go away.

I really hope this helps you and your son and I would love to hear any feedback about Probio-Lite. All the best for you guys!

  8. Hi I have been taking probiotics for years that are a lot higher than 5 billion CFU and I also take digestive enzymes with every meal. I still struggle with my gerd, acid and digestion every time I eat. Do you think this probiotic will help.

    1. Hi Linda, what is the dose you have been taking? I personally don’t recommend high-dosed probiotics for a long amount of time. Since you’ve been taking one for a while now, my initial advice would be to give it up for 1-2 months and see if there’s any improvement. High doses of probiotics can do more harm than good if they’re taking for a really long time, simply because they overstimulate the good bacteria from your gut – so you may experience digestive problems, which are the actual symptoms probiotics are meant to improve. So I would advise you to stop taking the product (and any other probiotic) and see if there’s any improvement. You can continue with the digestive enzymes, if you want.

Please keep me updated on how things go because I might recommend you a different probiotic if things don’t get better. But for now, just try to give up your actual product.

      1. Hi thank you for your feed back to my question. Here is the amount that I have been taking. It says that the total CFU per serving which is 1/8 of a tsp is 21 Billion. the suggested use is 1-4 times a day but I have been taking 1/4 of a tsp once a day. I did not realize that you should not take a probiotic for a long period of time so yes I will definitely go off it and see if there is any improvement.

        1. Hello Linda, thanks for your update. Taking a probiotic in the long run is fine if you have chronic digestion problems (acid reflux, GERD, Crohn disease, etc.), but otherwise I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that. You can take it for 6-9 months, but there’s no point taking it for more, unless you’re dealing with digestion issues, as I mentioned. That especially if we’re talking about a product with a high dose.

Regarding the probiotic you’ve been taking – calculating your dose is pretty tricky. But from what you’re saying, you were probably taking 42 billion CFU daily (am I right?). That’s quite a high dose for the long run, so I think you should give it up for a few months and see what happens.

Please keep me updated and hopefully you get back with positive news.

  9. I have been taking probiolite for nearly 3 months now as I have been suffering from acid reflux symptoms daily. Before taking probiolite, I have taken PPI medicine daily for from May 2021. Initially, I took probiolite daily along with my PPI for 2 weeks then I could drop the PPI not taking any for almost 2 weeks feeling good and no more acid reflux symptom, however, on the third week, I thought I had accidentally taken some spicy food and the acid reflux symptom triggered again and I came back to take PPI for another 5 days then decided to take apple cider vinegar and HCL betaine to instead along with probiolite daily as I believe I have low stomach acid. It worked quite well for another 2 weeks but then the symptom came back frequently even though I did not stop probiolite as well as apple cider vinegar and HCL betaine. My question now is should I stop HCL betaine and ACV and only take probiolite and PPI until my symptom gone away? Or this probiolite is no longer work for me anymore? Much appreciated if you can reply my message at your earlier convenience, thanks

    1. Hi there, I’m sorry about your issues, some people fight acid reflux their entire lives, while others find a solution to it pretty easily. So let’s try to bring you in the last category.

      So from what I understand:

      1. Probio-Lite actually improved your symptoms really well at the beginning, but it stopped working (or worked less) after a while.
      2. After your symptoms appeared again, PPI didn’t help you anymore.
      3. Once you started taking Probio-Lite, Apple Cider Vinegar and HCL Betaine, your acid reflux also got better.
      4. However, this combination stopped working as well (not completely, but you don’t get the same constant results).

Please correct me if my conclusions are not right.

I also want to ask you – after having the symptoms triggered again (in the 3rd week), why did you give up the PPI after 5 days? It didn’t have any effect this time? Apple cider vinegar and HCL betaine are indeed effective in some people, but not in everyone (and not constantly, which also seems to be your case).

Regarding the possible solutions, I cannot guarantee you that something is going to work, simply because acid reflux is a very tricky condition. But my initial insight on your case would be to give up HCL betaine and ACV gradually (start taking it every other day, then every 2 days and then give it up completely) and stick to your prescribed PPI and Probio-Lite. Try to follow this strategy for 2-3 weeks and if there’s no improvement, just get back to me and I will try to recommend you something else. We have to find something that works eventually. But if Probio-Lite + PPI worked for you at some point, it should at least improve your symptoms the second time as well.

PS: And please, try to follow a healthier diet in this period, with no fast foods or sugary drinks and have plenty of water (but you may be doing that already).

I really hope this helps you and I’m waiting for your feedback and results.

  10. Thanks for your prompt response and advice, at first, I would like to clarify the following upon your points as below:

    1. “Probio-Lite actually improved your symptoms really well at the beginning, but it stopped working (or worked less) after a while.”

Yes, it worked very well and I could even stop taking PPI for 2 weeks no problem (only taking probio-lite at that time). The symptom came back even I still was taking probiolite maybe I ate something quite spicy.

    2. “After your symptoms appeared again, PPI didn’t help you anymore.”

I think the PPI still can help gradually but I just want to replace PPI by Apple Cider Vinegar and HCL Betaine as I did test and believed that I have been in low stomach acid issue.

    3. “Once you started taking Probio-Lite, Apple Cider Vinegar and HCL Betaine, your acid reflux also got better.”

Yes, it worked well for another 2 weeks without PPI

    4. “However, this combination stopped working as well (not completely, but you don’t get the same constant results).”

After 2 weeks, it seem that the symptom come back frequently such as every one or two days it come back to disturb me and to get away the symptom I have to take PPI again and this pattern keeps on repeating again and again. In other words, if I stop taking PPI I will see the symptom coming back as the pattern above or even daily.

Anyway, now that I will take your advice to stop HCL betaine and ACV and take the probiolite and PPI for 2 more weeks to see any improvement.

Finally, I would like to ask whether the probiolite can help me to increase my stomach acid level if my condition gets better after two weeks and I can stop taking PPI and not taking any extra HCL betaine or apple cider vinegar? as I think this is the root cause of my acid reflux problem (low stomach acid), thanks.

    1. Hi Vinh, yes, I advise you to give up the 2 products (ACV and HCL Betaine) and see how things go if you only taking Probio-Lite and the PPI.

Regarding your question – Probio-Lite is indeed very helpful in acid reflux because it can decrease the amount of intestinal bacteria that is involved in acid reflux. It doesn’t necessarily increase stomach acid levels, as far as I know. However, I would say that it’s absolutely no harm trying that strategy you mentioned (giving up PPI, HCL betaine and ACV, if things get better).

Please let me know how things go and we will continue from there. Good luck and I hope you get back with some great news!

  11. Hi Olly,
Thanks for your prompt response again, I will start the strategy of taking probiolite and PPI only for 2 – 3 weeks consistently. By the way, if you don’t mind I would like to ask for your opinion or your knowledge to let me know if this will somehow affect my acid reflux situation and become hard to recovery. Apparently, I have been taking two medicine daily (one tablet of crestor 20mg for high cholesterol and other tablet of Plidogrel (clopidogrel 75mg) for thin blood) since December 2018 after stenting. If any of these medicines may affect my acid reflux situation should I change to other similar medicine which will have no or less effect for a long term? thanks.

    1. Hey again, Vinh. Crestor belongs to the group of statins and Plidogrel is a blood thinner. Both categories can cause digestive issues as a side effect (including low stomach acid). Now, my question is – did your acid reflux problems start after you began taking these 2 drugs? Or if you also had them before, did they worsen 3 months after you started Crestor and Plidogrel? This can help us understand whether they’re involved in your low production of stomach acid or not.

  12. Hi Olly,
No, I had acid reflux before back in 2012 till 2016 and I completely recovered at the end of 2016. As I mentioned before I started taking the 2 drugs after done my stent at the end of 2018. During 2019 and 2020, I have no acid reflux at all even I drink coffee daily and alcohol occasionally. Only around April 2021, I started feeling a bit heartburn from time to time as it was not quite serious so I ignored and then in May 2021. it was getting worse and brought up my acid reflux symptom so I had to take PPI since then.

    1. From what you’re saying, it seems like these 2 drugs aren’t really related with your acid reflux. So I wouldn’t necessarily advise you to change them, especially since they’re essential for your other health issues. Just try to give up the HCL Betaine and ACV for a few weeks and see how things go. I’m eager to hear the news!

  13. Hi Olly,

I am trying to take probiolite and PPI daily for 2 – 3 weeks since our last conversation, however, from time to time, I still suffer my acid reflux symptom getting worse during the course even I tried not to take any triggering foods which I had experience before such as coffee, chocolate, alcohol, dairy, tomato and some fatty food etc.. May I ask can I take 2 capsules of probiolite per day when I feel my stomach not good, such as bloated and acid refluxed on that day and will switch back to one capsules per day as soon as I feel better? Is it safe? thanks, Vinh

    1. Hi Vinh, yes, I actually think it’s a really good idea to take 2 pills when you feel like your stomach and digestion are not are their best. Regarding the side effects, don’t worry. First of all, probiotics are a very well-tolerated category of supplements. And secondly, Probio-Lite’s dose per pill is rather low compared to others. So 2 pills would mean 10 billion CFU, which is definitely not dangerous (some potent probiotics contain even 50 billion CFU/pill, but I only recommend taking those for a short period, because they are potentially dangerous). But 10 billion CFU per day is definitely not too much, so you can take this dose without any worries. Keep me updated!

  14. Hi Olly,
I just read your reviews on Probio Lite and BiomeMD. I have gerds issues since taking an antibiotic, as well as some digestive issues, so am very interested in Probio Lite. I found this website – . Do you think it is legit? Also, can you recommend another probiotic that would help with gerds? I’m trying to stay away from the antacid and PPI approach.

    Thanks so much,

    Michele

    1. Hello Michele, I had to take down the website, but I checked it out and unfortunately, no, it’s not the original version. If you check the product label, you will see that the brand from the front is different than the one from my review’s picture.

The original ProbioLite was sold exclusively by the producing brand and the version you sent me isn’t made by the same company. So I’m afraid it’s another fake version. But as I said in my review, the original product was discontinued unfortunately (I have no idea why, because it was a very high-quality product, but that’s the situation).

Now, the probiotic that I’m currently recommending as my top pick (BiomeMD) is also very effective for GERDs. It’s not exactly the condition it was designed for, but it’s very effective for improving it, because of its high dose of probiotics. I actually recommend taking it for a month and see if the situation improves (it should). Since it’s very concentrated, you should be able to see some results really fast.

This is why I think it’s a great option, because you would only have to take it for a very short while, unlike other probiotics (even ProbioLite should have been taken for longer, since it wasn’t very concentrated).

I think you’re taking a wise decision trying to find an alternative to anti-acids and PPI, especially since your situation is not that desperate. My opinion is that you can improve your GERD with probiotics, especially because you’re also having some digestive issues. It’s quite obvious these issues are very related.

Additionally to supplements, you can also try some natural-based smoothies, they won’t necessarily treat your GERD symptoms, but they can improve your digestion and consequently, your symptoms might get a bit better. So my advice would be to try a supplement together with some of these smoothies.

If you decide to try BiomeMD, let me know how it goes and whether you see some results in about a month. I’m pretty sure you would – but if this doesn’t happen, just get back to me and we will try to find a better solution.
