Are Stonehenge Probiotics A Scam? My Review (2023)

Are Stonehenge probiotics a scam?

Does this supplement really work – or it's just a basic one?:

  • possibly too strong
  • several customer complaints
  • not suitable for everyone

So is Stonehenge really worth it?

Let's look into its deepest details to see the truth behind this supplement.

Note: This review is based on my opinion + research on Stonehenge Probiotics.

Review Summary

Full Name: Stonehenge Health Dynamic Biotics by Stonehenge Health

Product Type: Probiotics

Best Actual Price: Around $50

Cheapest Place To Buy: Official website

Designed For: Balancing and repairing the digestive system.

My Rating: 7 out of 10

Recommended?: Not really – there are some red flags:

  • high number of side effects
  • too harsh
  • many product complaints

Instead – I recommend an alternative that makes the best probiotic from the market.

What I Liked About It

  • Contains various bacterial strains
  • Has a decent formula
  • Also contains prebiotics
  • Comes with a professional website
  • A lot of product info available

What I Didn’t Like About It

  • Causes severe side effects
  • Doses are way too high for daily use
  • Price is not worth it

Stonehenge Probiotics In A Nutshell

In my view, Stonehenge Probiotics is a good product.

But that doesn't mean it's perfect – it has a couple of issues, actually:

  • harsh for a lot of users
  • pricey for the long-term
  • can't be used by everyone
  • its doses are a bit too high (for daily use)

Now – these downsides are not available in all cases.

But they are totally possible, so you need to be careful.

Again – its usual side effects include blood in the vowel, vomiting, palpitations and others.

So I strongly advise you to pay close attention to this.

Now, 30 capsules cost around $50 – which is a decent price for 16 bacterial strains.

Plus – there's also a prebiotic blend inside it.

Overall – the supplement looks like a high-quality one.

But its huge doses are a serious problem (especially in terms of side effects).

So unless you have a huge lack of good bacteria, I suggest you to go for milder alternatives.

#1 – Claims & Producer

Let's first take a look at Stonehenge Probiotics' basic info:

  • who is the producer
  • how it works
  • the health concerns it treats
1. Claims

Stonehenge Probiotics has a lot of claims – but there's one that caught my eyes.

This product states to have “51 billion live probiotic cultures per serving.”

And there's more:

  • 16 dynamic probiotic strains
  • delayed-release capsules
  • NutraFlora® prebiotic fiber
  • soy-free and gluten-free
  • vegan, non-GMO, non-dairy and no preservatives

Honestly – these claims are quite a lot, but they don't sound too good to be true.

For me, these facts are rather technical and reliable.

My only concern is the number of CFUs, because that's way too high for a regular use.

2. Company Behind

The company behind Dynamic Biotics is called Stonehenge Health.

And based on its website, it sells different supplements for:

  • digestive system
  • brain and memory
  • immunity and mobility
  • respiratory system and others

I found out that the brand is run by a gastroenterologist from the USA.

So far – I haven't seen any major complaints about the brand itself, so I would say it's safe to buy from them.

#2 – Ingredients (8 out of 10)

Stonehenge Probiotics has an impressive formula at first sight:

  • 16 bacterial strain
  • 51 billion CFU
  • a prebiotic blend

However – this composition is way too strong for a lot of people, if you ask me:

  • daily dose is pretty high
  • it has a huge risk of side effects

In other words, I normally recommend such a potent formula to people who lack good bacteria.

But even so – it's not suitable for a long-term use.

That's why I don't consider this composition suitable for a daily probiotic.

Now – my top recommended probiotic has a similar dose.

However, it has more bacterial strains and a more specialized formula.

That's why it has almost no complaints on side effects (which is not Stonehenge's case).

Anyway – here are the major ingredients inside this supplement:

  • Lactobacillus acidophilus La-14™
  • L. brevis Lbr-35™
  • Lactobacillus plantarum Lp-115™
  • L. reuteri Sd-5865™
  • Lactobacillus fermentum Sd-5847™
  • L. rhamnosus Lr-32™
  • Lactobacillus gasseri Lg-36™
  • L. casei Lc-11™
  • Lactobacillus salivarius Ls-33™
  • L. paracasei Lpc-37™
  • Bifidobacterium lactis BI-04™
  • B. bifidum Bb-06™
  • Bifidobacterium breve Bb-03™
  • B. animalis Bs-01™
  • Bifidobacterium longum Bl-05™
  • Streptococcus thermophilus St-21™

Now – I don't want to take up so much of your time by detailing them all.

So I will summarize the major benefits of these main ingredients from Stonehenge:

  1. Lactobacillus – prevents the formation of harmful bacteria [1]
  2. Bifidobacterium – helps the body perform its essential functions [2]
  3. Streptococcus – boosts nutrients absorption in the body [3]
  4. NutraFlora® FOS – feeds the good bacteria [4]
  5. Inulin – stimulates the growth of essential bacteria [5]

Again, the overall formula of Stonehenge Probiotics looks great.

However – not everyone can tolerate these doses.

Plus – it's not a product that can be taken on a long-term basis.

Conclusion

Overall – Stonehenge's product is one of the few “too strong” probiotics.

So I would recommend it only if you seriously lack good bacteria).

I personally prefer probiotics that are less dangerous in the long run.

#3 – Pills & Dosage (8 out of 10)

For this chapter, I will give you some details about Stonehenge Health's looks.

1. Pills

The supplement can be described in 3 phrases :

  • regular pill size
  • white-beige color
  • vegetable-based capsules

It looks like a normal pill to me, there's nothing special about it.

Plus – it's easy to consume, if you're used to taking medicines.

2. Dosage

Based on the product label, I can say that Stonehenge Probiotics' instructions are simple.

It's recommended to take 1 capsule daily, which is great.

However – there are some warnings that need to be considered:

  • take the pills on an empty stomach or between meals
  • not suitable for under the age of 18
  • pregnant and nursing women are not allowed to take it
  • don't exceed more than 1 capsule
  • consult your physician first

Now – I understand why there are some precautions about this product.

It's probably because of its very strong formula.

In addition, I don't really recommend taking it for a very long time.

#4 – Results (6 out of 10)

To avoid giving you a biased view, I looked for the experiences of the previous buyers.

The only way to know how this product works is to check for customer reviews.

And I tend to prefer the honest comments outside the official website.

Note: I only analyzed authentic reviews, not promotional or fake ones.

1. Positive Opinions

I want to analyze the comments on Amazon (as usual).

So here are the views of the satisfied buyers:

  1. A lot of customers said that it stopped their stomach pains/problems.
  2. Others mentioned that it provided relief immediately.
  3. Some experienced that their bloating, gas and IBS were gone.
  4.  The rest of the comments were about the product being effective.

The reviews for Stonehenge Probiotics are great, that's why it got 4.4/5 stars.

Plus – the most common comment is about the product working very fast.

If you ask me – this can be good and bad at the same time.

2. Negative Opinions

Now – negative reviews are quite normal, so let's see some of them:

  1. Some didn't like the fact that it's pricey.
  2. Others experienced serious severe side effects.
  3. There are people who didn't get any benefits at all.
  4. A few customers received broken packages.

Honestly, most of these complaints are quite alarming.

Since side reactions are very common in this product, there are reasons to worry.

But I will tell you more a few lines below.

Conclusion

Overall – a lot of people liked how Stonehenge Probiotics works.

But there are also users who had some very bad experiences with it.

Now, I suggest you to read the reviews first before making a decision.

However – I don't think I can recommend it, since there are many better options out there.

#5 – Side Effects (3 out of 10)

Now – things will get a little serious at this chapter.

Based on the reviews, there are enough people who experienced adverse reactions:

  • blood in bowel
  • major cramps and stomach pain
  • palpitations/heart pain
  • headache/nausea
  • shortness of breath
  • vomiting/acid reflux
  • sore mouth breakouts
  • severe constipation and diarrhea

If you notice, these side effects mentioned are quite a lot (compared to most probiotics).

Plus – they're not something to brush off and forget.

So if I were you, I would probably think twice about this product.

Again – Stonehenge Probiotics has a very strong formula that won't fit everyone.

My top recommended probiotic has some similar doses, though.

However – it has some different features:

  • formula is specially designed to be easily tolerated
  • has a wider variety of bacterial strains (lower individual doses)
  • contains several improved versions of certain strains (trademarks)
  • also comes with prebiotics

On the other hand, Stonehenge's product doesn't have these benefits.

This explains why it has way more side effects, at this high dose.

#6 – Price (6 out of 10)

Considering the number of bacterial strains it contains, this product has a fair price.

But considering its potential side effects, it's not a good option (in my view).

1. The Exact Price

Compared to Amazon, Stonehenge Health's official website has some exclusive offers:

  1. A bottle costs $40.99
  2. 3 bottles cost $35.99 each
  3. 6 bottles cost $29.99 each
  4. Shipping is free
  5. You have up to 40% discount upon subscription

On the other hand, Amazon sells a bottle (30 capsules) for $50.

Again, the price is fair for the ingredients and for its fast results.

But you can be paying for a product that will actually worsen your symptoms.

That's why I'm a bit unsure about this product.

In terms of price – it's not cheap, but it's not that pricey for its quality.

2. Competitors’ Price

I want to compare Stonehenge's product with my top recommended probiotic.

It's called Your Biology Gut+ and it makes the best product I know in this category:

  1. Your Biology Gut+ contains 10 essential bacterial strains in some high doses.
  2. It combines pre with probiotics.
  3. Stonehenge Probiotics has 16 bacterial strains and a prebiotic.
  4. Its formula is effective and fast in terms of results.
  5. Still, Stonehenge Probiotics can be dangerous for many people.
  6. Your Biology Gut+'s normal price is $64.99 you can get it for only $39.
  7. Stonehenge Probiotics cost around $41 (and lower for higher quantities).

If you ask me, both supplements are effective and pretty strong.

However – I would say that Your Biology Gut+ is the better choice.

That especially for people who want to get the best results.

Conclusion

Overall – Stonehenge Probiotics is a good choice, if you're looking for a strong supplement.

In terms of price, it could cost a lot more.

Still – I'm not sure if it's completely worth it (given the side effects).

#7 – FAQs

These are some common facts you should know about Stonehenge Probiotics.

Note: I might repeat something I already mentioned, but it's easier to spot here.

1. How should you take this product?

Stonehenge Probiotics recommends a dosage of 1 pill per day.

You should take it on an empty stomach or between meals.

2.  What are the precautions of this product?

Stonehenge Probiotics has some warnings:

  • people under 18 years old are not allowed to take it
  • not made for pregnant and nursing women
  • strictly follow 1 capsule per day
  • better to consult your doctor first

It's probably due to its high ingredients and doses.

3. How long does a bottle of it last?

One bottle of Stonehenge Probiotics has 30 capsules.

So it will last for 1 month if you strictly follow the 1 capsule/day recommendation.

4. What's the lowest price of it?

You can get Stonehenge Probiotics for as low as $29.99 per one bottle.

But that's only when you buy 6 bottles package.

5. Are there any serious adverse reactions?

There are several serious side effects mentioned in Stonehenge Probiotics' reviews:

  • intense diarrhea and constipation
  • sore mouth breakouts
  • acid reflux and vomiting
  • shortness of breath
  • nausea or headache
  • heart palpitations
  • severe stomach ache and cramps
  • blood in bowel

All of the points above are pretty alarming.

So you need to consider that.

#8 – Final Conclusions

Here's I would summarize my views about Stonehenge Probiotics.

1. Decent Formula

Honestly – the supplement has a lot to offer when it comes to its ingredients:

  • a prebiotic blend
  • 16 bacterial strain
  • 51 billion CFU

So you don't need to worry about its potency.

Plus – you can normally expect a fast result after using this product.

2. Serious Side Effects

I just want to warn you about the possible adverse reactions behind this product.

To be honest – they are quite a lot and they're very alarming.

So I would advise you to be careful with Stonehenge Probiotics.

3. Quite Pricey

Now – I want to highlight that Stonehenge Probiotics can be expensive:

  • 30 capsules cost $40.99
  • causes a lot of side effects in a long term treatment
  • not very affordable

But if you ask me, it's still up to you whether you want to try it or not.

#9 – My Video Review

My Verdict – Worth It Or Not?

Short answer: Not really – and it's because of several reasons:

  1. Serious adverse reactions
  2. Can be pricey in the long run
  3. Not suitable for all users
  4. Might be dangerous
  5. Its doses are extremely high

In my view, the product is not awful – but it's only suitable for certain people.

On the other hand, others might get the opposite results (or even worse).

If you ask me, I have a recommendation that makes a safer choice.

The product is called Your Biology Gut+:

  • Doses are high enough
  • Has 15 essential bacterial strains
  • Contains both probiotics and prebiotics
  • Fast, potent and effective

I strongly recommend Your Biology Gut+ especially to people who need a potent probiotic.

It's the safer and more balanced choice for digestive health.

  1. For a strong supplement like Stonehenge, do you need to get prescription before getting it from the pharmacy? I saw you mention the con about its strong formula and side effects to the body. For many years of trying probiotics, a lot doesn’t work at all and I don’t see any changes I ‘m still searching and searching for and it’s getting frustrated, hoping you can help me if you have suggestions.

    1. Hello, IanV_115! As far as I know, you don’t need a prescription to get Stonehenge over the counter. But after reading your comment about seeing no changes with any probiotics you try, I suggest you to look for a stronger and better one. If you’re afraid of the side effects of Stonehenge, you can try my recommended product. It’s called Probio-Lite and I encourage you to read my review about it. However, if it won’t work for you like the rest, I suggest you to consult your doctor because there might be more problems than you thought. I hope everything goes well with you, good luck!

  2. Excellent information and I am glad I found your review. I was about to buy Stonehenge Probiotics but then my brother told me that I should search for its details first because he mentioned this is a little “extreme” compared to other probiotic products. Well I know now what he is talking about and this is really a strong one. What could be the worst case that can happen to me if my body can not adjust to this one? Am I going to the hospital or something? Thanks. Bill

    1. Hey, Bill777! It’s a good thing that you did your research first before buying Stonehenge Probiotics. If you read most of my reviews, I really urge people to do some research first before buying any product to at least have some ideas about it. Also, yes, it’s quite a strong probiotic so if you’re having second thoughts, you can ask your doctor first. The worst case I could think of is your stomach might act violently on the supplement and cause you too much pain. Thank you for dropping by!

  3. My initial impression is I thought it is in a gummy form. There was a vitamin when I was young and its name sounds the same. I thought first, is this the adult version? After reading your review, it does not look the same so at least I confirmed it.

Oh well, nice review! Do you personally like it though? It has a lot of bacterial strain and it looks oh so strong so it should be alright with severe diarrhea or digestive issues. xo

    1. Hi, Augustine! I think I’m familiar with the kid’s gummies talking about. Anyways, I don’t personally like it because I prefer Probio-Lite more since it works better and excellently for me. In terms of severe digestive issues, it’s better to ask your doctor. But if it’s only mild, keep searching until you find the best supplement that suits you.

  4. Good day!

Do you know if this is advisable for an old man like me? I am already in my 80s and oh well, I am having a hard time releasing my bowel (I hope you don’t mind me oversharing). Bit hesitant to try it because of the side effects but it is stronger than the previous probiotics I tried. Do you think it will work for me? Health stat is healthy except for constipation, it doesn’t leave me alone.

    Great website, btw!

    -Rick

    1. Hey, Rick! Your age is not an issue at all but, to be honest, you need to be more careful as our stomachs tend to get sensitive as we age. So if you want my really honest opinion, the best way to choose the right probiotic for you is to consult your doctor. I hope you will find the right product for you and kick that constipation away. Have a good day!

  5. Neither good nor bad. I actually tried this and for the price, its an okay one but the result is not really as I thought it to be. I can feel my digestion getting better but it was taking too long. Right now, I am open to suggestion and would really check out the product that you are recommending. Thanks for the article, Paula

    1. Hey Kate, your comment is totally relatable. There are actually a lot of users that has the same sentiments. In fact, this is one of the reason why we rated this product as such. It’s okay and works for some but definitely not for all. As such, for the effect it has, the price is really not worth it. On the other hand, I think that you might like BiomeMD which is one of the best probiotics in the market. It has a much better formula, effect, and overall quality per price ratio compared to others. More importantly, it is safe to take and effective. Do check our article about it to learn more about it. Thanks for the comment and stay safe!

      -Angelica

  6. I’d like to get your educated opinion on this product: Stonehenge health Dynamic Immunity. I usually take zinc and other vitamins for health reasons but I’m wondering if this is an overall good vitamin to take for keeping your immune system strong. It’s quite pricey so I wanted to know what u think. Thank u so much.

    1. Hi Drina, Stonehenge’s Dynamic Immunity does contain zinc and several other vitamins that are helpful for immunity, as well as some herbs that can improve your body’s immune system (according to the clinical trials conducted on them). So I would say that this supplement could replace the other nutrients you’re taking. It might actually be easier to get them all into one pills, instead of taking several pills a day.

However, I don’t know the exact nutrients you’re taking, so make sure they also exists in Stonehenge’s product. But in my view, it’s a product that should work. The only downside is the high price, but if you afford it, it’s totally fine.

  7. product recommended! Loved it and it works very well. I only stopped now because I am taking a medicine and I wouldn’t want it to react to one another. Honestly, I have a lot of bottles left. I’m just hoping I recover soon. on the other hand, the stress is making me feel worse. I think it comes with having a health issue. Do you have any recommendation for chronic pain? I’ve been feeling pain from my neck and back for a while now but don’t really know what to do.

Thank you and am hoping for a reply soon!

    -hector

    1. Hey there Hector, this is Angelica! I hope you are doing okay now or at least slowly recovering? On the other hand I’m glad that it worked out great for you and I can totally relate on having a lot of products left and you don’t know what to do about it. As for the recommendation for chronic pain, yes we do have an article about it. Just read this 5 Remedies For Chronic Pain Relief article to know more about it. But most of all, I think that finding ways to relax and manage stress will produce better effect in addition to the relief as stated in the article for chronic relief. Stay safe and be well soon!

  8. hey paula. tnx for the review. i was actually debating between this and the product you are recommending. in fact when i looked over this stonehenge article, i was amazed by its formula. however, upon scrolling down, i can see why you rated it as such. price was never an issue for me but the safeness and effectivity is. thank you for this because i think i found what suits me better.

    1. Hey Wowwie, thanks for the trust! It’s an honor to be of service. The formula of Stonehenge Probiotics is good but the dosage can be too much for some people so it’s not really for everyone. Compared to BiomeMD, I think that this product is not as effective and cost effective. But since you think that the product we recommend, which is BiomeMD, I think that taking a look at this article guide on how to take probiotics will be in your interest. This is just a reminder so don’t take it the wrong way–just an additional knowledge for safety.

      All the best,
      Angelica

  9. I had a bad reaction to this product which lead me to leave it with a negative remarks. I experienced shortness of breath and vomiting/nausea. It seldom happened at first until it gradually increased in frequency. I thought it was normal at first because I’m not getting any younger. However, with the added vomiting and nausea, the warning bell in my head immediately rang. I stopped using this product. If you are like me, don’t pretend that it’s okay or think of it as normal because most of the time, it’s not.

    1. How are you, Rowena? I am hoping that you are doing better now? When using a product, once an adverse reaction is felt, it is really important to immediately stop using the product before it becomes too late. I really suggest taking a rest first to give your body its time to recover. Aside from that, ask and consult your doctor. Do a check up just to be sure. After all, this product is know for its formula with strong dosage so it’s really not for every one to take.

I really thank you for sharing your experience because we get to learn more about this product from an actual user. I will be praying for your recovery and hopefully, no real damage has been done.

      -Angelica
