But does it live up to the hype?:

  • reasonable price
  • decent formula
  • side effects

I studied the different aspects of it, to give you the answer to that question.

Note: This review is based on my opinion + research on Optimox Iodoral.

  • normalize thyroid function

Optimox Iodoral In A Nutshell

Optimox Iodoral is a product that provides a iodine supply.

It is also essential for people who have thyroid problems.

Based on the official website, it has several versions:

  • 6.25 (Iodoral® IOD 6.25)
  • 12.5 (Iodoral® IOD 12.5)
  • 50 (Iodoral® IOD-50)

The only difference among the 3 is the level of ingredients per serving (tablet).

But we will focus more on IOD 12.5 in this review, since it's the most popular.

Now – although the product is decent and promising, it has some red flags:

  • might cause serious side effects
  • doesn't have herbal ingredients

Don't get me wrong, it's good for people who need to maintain their iodine level.

But for my own preferences, herbal ingredients are better addition.

I just think they make the formula better (for supporting thyroid health).

Now – this product's side effects will not appear in all cases.

But they can serve as a warning.

In terms of pricing, I would say that Optimox Iodoral is affordable.

However – that only applies if you're just fighting iodine deficiencies.

So for a price of $29.89 per 90-day supply (90 tablets), it's a good deal.

Overall – the product is decent enough, but it's still not my top choice.

#1 – Claims & Producer

Firstly – let's start with the general details about Optimox Iodoral:

  • how it works
  • the health issues it helps
  • the company behind
1. Claims

Optimox Iodoral is a supplement made for thyroid health.

Now – Optimox Iodoral claims to be a “tablet form of Lugol solution.”

So these are the benefits it says to provide:

  • maintains a healthy thyroid
  • stabilizes the mood
  • increases energy levels

Also, it states to supply elemental iodine comparable to the average daily intake.

Now – there are different versions of it, based on the ingredient levels:

  • 6.25 (Iodoral® IOD 6.25)
  • 12.5 (Iodoral® IOD 12.5)
  • 50 (Iodoral® IOD-50)

But as I promised, let's focus on the second version.

Also if you're curious, Optimox Iodoral is also free of the following:

  • wheat, corn and gluten
  • soy, yeast and peanut
  • eggs and dairy
  • fish and shellfish

If you ask me, a product like this one needs a proper recommendation from doctors.

The purpose is to know which version is best for your needs.

So you should be careful, since it can be harmful if you use the wrong level.

2. Producer

The company/maker of Optimox Iodoral is called Optimox®.

Based on its professional website, here's some info about it:

  • owns Iodoral®, Gynovite® and Androvite®
  • it's also involved in MAG-200®, Optivite® P.M.T and ATP COFACTORS™
  • products are multivitamins for men, postmenopausal women and PMS
  • a lot of contact info available

Overall – the brand seems to be used by many.

So I would say that it's safe to buy from it – you're not going to get scammed.

#2 – Ingredients (5 out of 10)

Believe it or not, Optimox Iodoral has very few ingredients:

  • contains some thyroid helpers
  • lack herbal extracts

Honestly – I don't think it works as well as supplements that contain both.

At least not in the long run.

But let's find out by assessing the benefits of the compounds present.

Now – the product is said to be a tablet form of Lugol solution.

Based on my research, it contains the following:

  1. Iodine – regulates the production of helpful thyroid hormones [1]
  2. Iodide (potassium salt) – treats conditions related to thyroid [2]

The ingredients mentioned above are also the ones listed on the supplement facts.

So basically, it's just the tablet version of the solution.

Other than that, the rest of the ingredients are inactive.

This means they have no actual role for thyroid health.

Overall – the supplement contains iodine, which is very helpful for thyroid health.

Conclusion

Now – Optimox Iodoral is good for people who have iodine deficiencies.

But in my view, it could be better if it contained some herbal extracts.

That's why it's not my favorite product out there.

#3 – Pills & Dosage (8 out of 10)

Firstly – here’s the info you should know about Optimox Iodoral.

1. Pills

Based on my judgment, here's what it looks like:

  • slightly longer but slimmer tablets
  • typical iodine scent (rust-like)
  • light yellow-brown in color

Now – the tablet is said to not taste like iodine at all.

But this depends, as people who are more sensitive may actually feel some iodine scent.

2. Dosage

The good thing about Optimox Iodoral is its suggested use.

You basically need to take 1 tablet per day.

But it still depends on the advice of your doctor (if you consulted one).

All in all, I advise you to seek professional help – because the thyroid issue is no joke.

Overall – I would say Iodoral is pretty easy to use .

#4 – Results (7 out of 10)

In order see the product's performance, I always check the product reviews.

Also – I prefer the reviews outside the official website.

I just think they just more authentic and honest.

Note: I only analyzed authentic reviews, not promotional or fake ones.

1. Positive Opinions

Now – the overall rating of Optimox Iodoral is 4.7 stars out of 5.

Honestly, that's very high and impressive – so it makes me more curious.

So let's see why a lot of customers were satisfied with it:

  1. Almost all of the previous buyers said it made them feel better.
  2. Others mentioned that their iodine level increased.
  3. Some experienced their thyroid issues improved.
  4. The rest said that it's worth buying.

Now, almost all of the comments are the same and they are pretty consistent.

But honestly, most of them sounded very promotional (in my view).

Overall – the product is not a scam, since a lot of them tried and tested it.

2. Negative Opinions

So let's now take a look at the issues encountered by other customers:

  1. Most of the negative feedback was about the side effects.
  2. Others complained about poor product handling and shipping.
  3. Some said that it didn't do anything with their thyroid problem.
  4. A few people noticed the whole tablet undigested in their stool.

Now – the major problem of people who didn't like are its negative effects.

But I will explain it further in the next chapter.

So if you ask me, I suggest you to do your research first.

Conclusion

Honestly – I have mixed feelings about Optimox Iodoral:

  • positive reviews sound a little too ideal
  • negative opinions were mostly about side effects

So if you ask me, I suggest you to read them too and judge for yourself.

But overall – it seems to work properly for most buyers.

#5 – Side Effects (5 out of 10)

Again – I mentioned that there were a lot of complaints here.

The majority of them are from people talking about the side effects.

So here are the reactions of some users with Optimox Iodoral:

  • low body temperature and chills
  • swelling in some parts of the body
  • exhaustion and headache
  • upset stomach and cramping
  • made thyroid issues even worse
  • irritability and anxiousness
  • rashes or itchiness
  • tingling tongue and numbness

Honestly – these side effects are quite a lot, but they won't necessarily happen to you.

At least not all of them.

I just listed them down to warn you about improper use.

So if you want to be safe, I suggest you to check your iodine level first.

Also, you should ask your doctor if this type of product is suitable for you.

#6 – Price (7 out of 10)

Now – I consider Optimox Iodoral quite affordable and reasonable.

But that's only from some points of view.

1. The Exact Price

If you want my honest opinion, Optimox Iodoral has the best deals on Amazon.

It's also offered on the official website, but there are bundles not available there.

So here are the deals you can find on Amazon:

  • 90 Count costs $29.89
  • 120 Count costs $36.23
  • 180 Count costs $54.89
  • 240 Count costs $66.45
  • Subscription gives a 5% or 10% discount
  • Free delivery on selected dates
  • Eligible for return, refund or replacement

I want to clarify that the count stands for the number of tablets.

Also – all of the bundles are in one pack (1 bottle).

So if you buy the 90 counts, it should last for 90 days.

Obviously, that unless your doctor prescribed more than 1 tablet a day.

Overall – I think it's an affordable product for your iodine needs.

But if you're looking for an overall thyroid support, I don't think it's worth it.

2. Competitors’ Price

Let's compare Iodoral with my top recommended thyroid supplement.

The product I'm talking about is Thyroid 911:

  1. Thyroid 911 contains a mix of essential ingredients for thyroid health.
  2. The formula has herbal ingredients, minerals and thyroid helpers.
  3. Optimox Iodoral contains some helpful thyroid nutrients/helpers.
  4. But the formula focuses more on iodine deficiency and lacks herbal ingredients.
  5. Thyroid 911 requires 2 capsules daily, while Optimox Iodoral only requires one.
  6. Thyroid 911 costs $69.95, but you can get it for only $39.
  7. Optimox Iodoral's price starts at $29.89 for a 90-day supply.

Now – choose Optimox Iodoral if you're looking for iodine maintenance/focus.

But if you're looking for an overall thyroid support, buy Thyroid 911 instead.

It has herbal ingredients and more essential nutrients, so it's more worth it.

Conclusion

Optimox Iodoral is a good deal for people who want to maintain a normal iodine count.

The price is reasonable and the minimum package can last up to 90 days.

Overall – if you only need iodine, then it's worth the price.

#7 – Final Conclusions

Overall – here’s how I would sum up my points about this supplement.

1. Decent Formula

Optimox Iodoral is said to be a tablet form of Lugol solution.

So it basically contains iodine and potassium iodide.

Overall – it's very helpful for people who need help with their iodine levels.

But it might not be enough if you're looking for additional herbal compounds.

2. Side Effects

Again – I'm not saying that Optimox Iodoral will cause adverse reactions in all.

But it's always better to be informed of the possibilities, just to be safe.

Overall, I think they would mostly appear if you don't use the supplement right.

3. Reasonable Price

Lastly – Optimox Iodoral is affordable for people who are after iodine maintenance:

  • 90 count costs $29.89
  • only one tablet/day

So if you're not looking for too much from a product, then it's a good deal.

My Verdict – Worth It Or Not?

Short answer: Yes – but only if you need a good supply of iodine for your body.

But in some cases – I don't necessarily recommend it:

  1. Might trigger severe adverse effects
  2. Lacks herbal ingredients
  3. Poor product handling in some cases

In my view, Optimox Iodoral is actually a good product.

A lot of people seem to like it, hence, the good product rating.

But it's not my top pick if you're looking for a high-quality thyroid supplement.

So what do I recommend instead?

I personally suggest you to try the #1 thyroid supplement I use.

It is called Thyroid 911:

  • Has herbal ingredients and thyroid essentials
  • Works pretty fast
  • Very minimal chances of side effects
  • Easy to use for a daily routine

Again –  Optimox Iodoral is a decent product as well.

But Throid 911 is better if you're looking for an overall thyroid formula.

It has herbal ingredients and more thyroid helpers – thus making it the best option.
