My Review: Beverly Hills MD Dermal Repair Complex (2024) – Scam?

My Review: Beverly Hills MD Dermal Repair Complex (2021) - Scam?

It's time to review Beverly Hills MD Dermal Repair Complex – a supplement that used to be very popular at one point.

Still, some people say this anti-aging product is a scam.

And at first sight – that's totally possible:

  • enough complaints about its effect
  • not too affordable
  • can cause some side effects

So what's the truth behind Beverly Hills MD's product?

I tried to dig really deep into it – so here's what I found out (+ video).

Note: This review is based on my opinion + research on Dermal Repair Complex.

Full Name: Dermal Repair Complex from Beverly Hills MD

Product Type: Anti-Aging Supplement

Best Actual Price: Around $60/bottle

Designed For: Younger and healthier appearance – it claims to:

  • reduce wrinkles
  • makes skin firmer and more lifted

What I Didn't Like About It

  • Many complaints about side effects
  • Enough users claim it didn't help them at all
  • Only sold on its official website

Dermal Repair Complex – A Quick Overview

In a few words – Dermal Repair Complex is a skin supplement that fights aging signs.

In fact, its name describes it perfectly:

  • it's designed to repair skin flaws
  • its formula is rich in antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients
  • it also helps with skin moisture

Other than that, it's a pretty popular supplement.

Despite not being sold on 3rd party retailers, it has many opinions on reviews websites.

It's true that enough users are unsatisfied with it – but that's pretty normal for any product.

Still – for a supplement of this kind, Dermal Repair Complex is surprisingly affordable.

As I said, it's not my top recommended anti-aging product.

But given its features, it's far from a bad supplement for sure.

#1 – Claims & Producer

Here's what you should know about this product in general:

  • what problems it works best for
  • how exactly it helps
  • who is the company behind it
1. Claims

Dermal Repair Complex promises to reduce aging signs by fighting the effect of:

  • skin-aging hormones
  • decreased body moisture
  • collagen loss

As a conclusion – it reduces sagging, wrinkles and skin dullness.

In other words, its benefits are derived from its unique composition.

Other than that, there isn't much info given out about its mechanism of action.

2. Company Behind

This supplement's producer is called Beverly Hills MD.

It's a brand with a pretty long history when it comes to cosmetic products:

  • most products are designed for anti-aging
  • they are all on the expensive side
  • most are also “premium”products

At first sight – Beverly Hills MD seems like a very reputable company.

However, it does have a page on BBB (which isn't a great sign).

Still – I don't consider it a brand that would scam its customers.

#2 – Formula (9 out of 10)

Dermal Repair Complex has a very good composition overall.

It's the kind of formula you cannot find in every anti-aging supplement – so it's unique and original:

  • based on several essential vitamins/minerals
  • also contains some herbal extracts
  • high doses in general

It's true that this formula doesn't have any study conducted on it (as others do).

But on paper – it should be quite effective.

Now, lets' take a closer look at its main active ingredients.

1. Vitamin A (300 mcg)

This vitamin is a very strong antioxidant.

However – it's commonly used in skin products because of its anti-aging benefits [1]:

  • fights free radicals and external factors
  • promotes a glowing skin
  • supports a younger appearance
2. Thiamin (10 mg)

Thiamin is also called vitamin B1 and it's essential in terms of skin benefits:

  • promotes collagen regeneration
  • boosts skin revitalization
3. Riboflavin (10 mg)

Riboflavin or vitamin B2 is also involved in skin health:

  • aids cell turnover
  • maintains a healthy collagen production
  • protects the skin's structural integrity
4. Niacin (50 mg)

That's another version of vitamin B (3) – which also promotes skin health. [2]

Niacin is an antioxidant that protects the skin against environmental damage.

5. Vitamin B6 (10 mg)

Like the previous versions of this vitamin, B6 in involved in skin protection.

Additionally, it also promotes a glowing and energized complexion.

6. Folate (1333 mcg) & Biotin (2500 mcg)

These 2 substances promotes hair, skin and nails health.

When it comes to their skin benefits:

  • increase the production of healthy cells
  • promote skin rejuvenation
  • fight premature aging (fine lines and wrinkles)
7. Panthotenic Acid (20 mg)

Vitamin B5 (or panthotenic acid) promotes a healthy skin in general.

8. Dermal Repair Complex Blend (620 mg)

This is the main responsible behind this product's effect.

Now – this complex is a mix of several substances (both herbal extracts and classic skin ingredients):

  1. Hydrolyzed Collagen – boosts skin elasticity and makes skin firmer.
  2. Saw Palmetto Fruit Powder – it's a DHT blocker (DHT can also increase skin aging).
  3. MSM – promotes a naturally strong and firm skin.
  4. Wild Yam Fruit Extract – it's a herbal extract with some potent antioxidant proprieties.
  5. Hyaluronic Acid – moisturizes skin from inside out. [3]

However – the biggest problem is that there is no individual dose.

In other words, it's only the full blend's quantity that is mentioned.

The separate ingredients have no given doses (which is usually a sign they are rather low).

Either way – 620 mg is a pretty high overall dose.

Conclusion

Summing up, Dermal Repair Complex has a pretty good formula.

It's definitely not the very best composition I came across, to be honest.

But overall – judging after its ingredients, it should be effective.

#3 – Pills & Dosage (9 out of 10)

Beverly Hills MD's product looks like the typical anti-aging supplement here.

1. The Pills

Shortly – this product's pills are designed as gelatin capsules.

They don't look like every gelatin capsule, though:

  • transparent cover
  • yellow to brown powder visible inside
  • average dimensions

Now – swallowing these pills shouldn't be too hard.

Since their size isn't very large, it should be pretty easy to take them.

2. The Dosage

Dermal Repair Complex looks quite typical at this chapter as well.

Its serving size is 2 capsules/day, which is quite average.

Now – I strongly recommend taking these pills after the meal (no matter what the label suggests).

In this way, you prevent any eventual stomach cramp.

And that's available for any supplement you take – not just for this one.

#4 – Results (7 out of 10)

As I always do – I looked at this supplement’s customer feedback.

In this way, you can see whether it works or not (based on previous users’ opinions on it).

Note: I only analyzed authentic reviews, not promotional/biased ones.

1. Positive Opinions

First of all – this product is sold only on Beverly Hills MD's official website.

This means you won't be able to find it (or any opinions on it) on 3rd party retailers.

Now – the reviews from its official websites are mostly positive:

  • most rated it 5 stars/5
  • there are a couple that gave it 4 stars/5 too
  • there's no 1/2/3 stars reviews

This makes me believe those reviews are most likely biased.

However – I did find enough user reviews on websites like HighYa, Consumer's Health Digest, etc.

I'm pretty sure those reviews are unbiased (since they are very mixed).

First of all – here's what most satisfied users say about it:

  1. Some praise it for its effect on wrinkles and dry skin.
  2. Others say they noticed a difference in a few weeks.
  3. A few others claim the products are totally worth it.
  4. I also found some opinions on increased energy.

Basically – this supplement does work for enough people, just like I expected.

Judging after its formula, it should definitely be effective (at least for some users).

But as you might expect – it's not all positive.

2. Negative Opinions

There were enough unsatisfied users on this supplement as well:

  1. Some people claim it didn't help their skin at all.
  2. Other say they could not see any change (even after several months).
  3. A few even claim the product made them feel pretty bad.
  4. There are a few complaints on allergies as well.

In one way – it's normal that a product doesn't work for all of its users.

But in another way – it has a surprising number of complaints about side effects.

Conclusion

Summing up, Beverly Hills MD's product has pretty much mixed reviews:

  • some people claim it's amazing
  • others say it's not effective at all

So it surely works in many cases – but for for every person who gives it a try.

Whether you want to try it yourself or not, it's totally up to you.

I personally prefer a better alternative instead – but it's your own choice.

#5 – Side Effects (7 out of 10)

As I said – Dermal Repair Complex has quite a few complaints on secondary reactions.

Anti-aging supplements tend to be pretty well-tolerated in general.

So side effects are pretty rare in this category of products.

Still – Beverly Hills MD's supplement has a high number of reviews overall.

That's why it's quite normal that it also has more complaints on side effects (than products with fewer reviews).

Now – here are the most common secondary reactions it seems to cause:

  • allergies and rashes
  • headaches
  • general weakness
  • stomach cramps, nausea and diarrhea

When it comes to digestive problems, avoiding them is pretty easy.

Just make sure you take the pills on a full stomach and you should be fine.

But when it comes to the other side effects, there isn't a certain way to avoid them.

#6 – Price (6 out of 10)

As I said – Beverly Hills MD's products tend to be quite expensive.

And its Dermal Repair Complex doesn't make an exception.

Still – for an anti-aging supplement, it could be much pricier overall.

1. The Exact Price

Just like I said – you can only find this product on Beverly Hills MD's official website:

  1. Standard price is $58/bottle (jar).
  2. Shipping is free for all orders above $39.
  3. There are some discounts when buying larger quantities.
  4. For the 3 months supply, price is around $50/bottle.

Now – $50 for an anti-aging supplement isn't very affordable, to be honest.

But compared to other products, it's definitely not that pricey.

Plus – Dermal Repair Complex actually has a very potent formula.

So even though it's not my top recommended supplement, it's worth this price.

Especially when compared to many options from the market.

2. Competitors’ Price

I will only compare Dermal Repair Complex with my #1 recommended anti-aging product.

It’s a supplement called GenF20 Plus:

  1. These 2 products work in 2 different ways.
  2. GenF20 Plus boosts natural HGH production.
  3. This leads to more energy and younger skin.
  4. Dermal Repair Complex improves mostly skin only.
  5. However, it doesn't boost HGH/telogenesis/other skin-related substances.
  6. In terms of price, Beverly Hills MD's product is slightly cheaper.

Now – these 2 products are pretty close when it comes to price.

But as I said, their mechanism of action is pretty different.

I personally consider HGH boosters as being the best anti-aging supplements.

That's why I recommend going for this kind of products when looking for high-quality anti-aging supplements.

For this reason – I consider GenF20 Plus a much better choice between these 2 products.

Conclusion

In terms of price, Dermal Repair Complex is quite affordable.

At least when compared to the average anti-aging supplements.

As I said – it's not the very best product from its category.

But if you're curious to give it a try, it's definitely worth the money.

#7 – FAQs

Let's list down the common inquiries about Dermal Repair Complex.

Note: I might repeat something I already mentioned, but it's easier to spot here.

1. What is this product for?

Dermal Repair Complex is a product that claims to reduce signs of aging.

It promises to fight the following problems:

  • loss of collagen
  • decreasing body moisture
  • hormones that cause skin-aging

So basically, it's an anti-aging supplement.

2. How do you use this product?

Dermal Repair Complex is easy to use.

It suggests taking 2 capsules daily.

3. How long does one jar last?

One jar of Dermal Repair Complex is good for one month.

It contains 60 capsules, which are good for 30 days (if you follow the serving size).

4. Can I use it together with other supplements?

You can use Dermal Repair Complex with other supplements.

Just make sure to not take them all together at once.

It's still better to space them out at different times of the day.

This is to avoid the risk of getting adverse reactions.

5. Does it have any serious side effects?

Based on the product reviews about it, there are some complaints.

Here are some of the side effects mentioned:

  • weakness and headaches
  • rashes and allergic reactions
  • diarrhea and stomach cramps

You can avoid digestive problems by taking the pills after a meal.

But you should be careful with the other side effects mentioned.

6. Will I get discounts on this product?

The standard price of Dermal Repair Complex is $58 for one jar.

But you can get it for only $50/jar, if you buy the 3 months supply.

#8 – Final Conclusions

Here's how I would sum up my opinion on Dermal Repair Complex (in 3 ideas).

1. Potent Composition

This supplement looks great in terms of ingredients:

  • contains both classic and herbal compounds
  • has a unique formula
  • its doses are generally high

So on paper – this kind of composition should be effective.

2. Tested By Many Users

Apparently – Dermal Repair Complex is a pretty popular product.

That's why I could find so many authentic opinions about it.

But as it's normal:

  • some people say it's an excellent supplement
  • others claim it's useless

So it has mixed reviews overall – which is quite normal for a legit product.

3. Mostly A Skin Remedy

The main goal of this supplement is to revitalize and improve skin.

It's true that some users say it also helps with energy (but those are quite a few).

However – it's pretty much a skin product only.

#9 – My Video Review

My Verdict – Worth It Or Not?

Short answer: Yes and no.

It's not the best anti-aging product I know, but it's definitely above the average:

  1. Unique formula with very good ingredients.
  2. Works for enough people.
  3. Pretty affordable price (compared to others).

The only problem is that it has enough complaints on side effects.

So apparently – it causes secondary reactions more often than the typical anti-aging supplement.

Still, its side effects aren't anything major – so it's totally up to you.

But as I said, Beverly Hills MD's product isn't my #1 recommended anti-aging supplement.

So what would I go for instead? A product called GenF20 Plus:

  • has a clinical trial behind
  • best formula I found in this types of products
  • works for most people as well

Now – both of these 2 products are pretty effective (according to their user experience).

They are also among the same price range.

So it's up to you which of them you choose.

But if you ask me – I told you which of them I would go for.

  1. Hi,
I have found after just three days of using the Beverly Hills MD that I was not sleeping as before.
Turns out the Vitamin A and all the B’s do affect your sleep, even when taking them in the morning. I didn’t sleep all night!!
Just wanted to put that out there as you didn’t mention effects of the individual vitamins.
    Thanks,
    Joelle

    1. Hey Joelle, thanks a lot for your feedback and sorry to hear you experienced these issues. I personally believe they are quite rare, that’s why I didn’t mention them here. But I will keep them in mind for sure.

      1. The alternative supplement mentioned in this article contains HGH – Human Growth Hormone. Multiple reputable studies online have shown that HGH can cause different types of cancer to grow or worsen. In my opinion, it is not good to take anything with HGH in it.

        1. Hey Jean. Please check my review of GenF20 Plus, this is the alternative I recommend and I analyzed its formula and ingredients in detail in this review. It doesn’t contain any HGH, so you have clearly not even read my review of it (nor checked its ingredient list).

I also searched for the studies you mentioned and they all have the same conclusion – the link between GH treatment (which GenF20 Plus doesn’t contain, once again) and cancer was not found. So please send me one of the studies you mentioned, because I have not found any like that.

Again – GenF20 Plus doesn’t contain any growth hormones, what it does is to boost your body’s natural production of HGH. Since it’s your body that produces HGH, the risk of side effects is extremely low, because you’re not taking a synthetic hormone (as it’s the case of what those clinical trials tested).

          Waiting for your reply!

  2. my friend has taken this for three days and she almost died and has hives from this product and the fillers within. I cant recommend this to anyone. I do recommend people talk to their doctor before taking things like this. EVER!!!

    1. Hello Rachel, I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. Did you find out what exact allergic reaction she had (I assume that’s what caused her problem)? I had no idea a supplement like Beverly Hills MD could cause such a severe issue, so it’s surely worth asking a doctor’s advice before going for it. Thanks for your feedback!

  3. **Hey Olly,
Thank you for this review! I’ve been looking for someone to do a review on this!!
I also tried to look at your #1 review for the Best Anti-Aging/HGH Releaser Supplement was and couldn’t access it. Is it bc you changed your review or is it just a mishap? If you have the time can you tell me which one you thought was the best? I was curious?

    Thank You For Your Time,

    J

    1. Hey Jess, I’m so sorry for this issue, there was a problem with my website but I fixed it and you can check my #1 recommended product now. It’s a supplement called GenF20 Plus, which is an updated version of GenFX, a product I used to recommend in the past. Well, GenF20 Plus makes the very best HGH booster I know, because it has an excellent composition with the best ingredients I came across, lots of professionals that recommend it and clinical evidence behind (which is very rare for supplements in general).

You can read my full review of it, if you want to make a better idea about all its features. Hope this helps and best wishes for you!

  4. I am quite sure your real name is not Olly Pharm.D. I purchased this product but now I am afraid to take it. Your reviews are wishy/washy.

Are your reviews a scam within a scam? I am returning this product.

What a shame. Is anything real? Is there a product that actually does what it is suppose to do without side effects?

    1. Hi Judith, Olly Pharm. D. comes from my profession, so my last name is obviously not “Pharm. D.” but I really am a pharmacist, so there’s no scam/fake name behind.

As for Beverly Hills’ product, there’s no reason for you to be afraid to take it. I suggest you to read the entire review I made on it and you will see that I never said that it’s a bad product, a scam or anything like this. It does have some complaints on side effects which I didn’t make up – feel free to check all the sources I mention and you will see it yourself. But just because it caused some side effects in certain people doesn’t mean that it will cause the same in your case. So I really advise you to give it a try, since you already bought it.

Regarding my other reviews, I tend to recommend a product in every health category, whether it’s anti-aging, joint pain, memory, etc. My recommendations are simply based on my opinion and research, so I never claimed that those products I recommend are the only ones that work or anything like this. But since this is my website, I believe I am free to recommend the products I believe in most, as long as they are legit and worth buying.

      I hope this helps!

  5. hi! my best friend tried this cream and her skin was smoother after a few weeks. i ordered it and received a damage package but i was too eager to try it to care. i woke up with an irritation next morning, nothing serious but i had some red spots. i didn’t use it anymore for a couple of days, my skin recovered and then i used it again. big mistake!!! i could feel my face going red a few minutes after i applied it, tried to take it off but the harm had already been done. now my face looks just red and irritated, i visited a doctor and he said it would get better in a few days with a proper treatment but i will never use this product again. shame on them for making products with harmful additives or so, they almost destroyed my face and i paid so much money on such a poor product!

    1. Hey Mary, I’m so sorry to hear about your bad experience with Dermal Repair Complex. You seem to be allergic to some of their ingredients (but I can’t tell whether it’s an additive or an active compound). Either way, all you can do is to stop using it. Beverly Hills MD is not a shady company, so I doubt they added some harmful chemicals in their product, but who knows? Have you tried getting a refund? Given the issues you experienced, that should be totally possible.

In case you need some wise options, I advise you to check my top recommended anti-aging creams. They are a lot safer and have very few complaints on side effects, so I’m pretty sure you won’t experience those reactions again. Hope this helps!

  6. I have seen a lot of positive feedbacks on this product across the internet so I have had high regards for this product. However, the actual experience is really quite different from the reality. I experienced little to no changes on my skin so I felt like I have wasted a lot of money as I have been using this for more than 3 months already.

    1. Hello Ellaine, this is Angelica. I’m sorry for your unfortunate experience. I can see that there are many complaints about its lack of effectivity so more and more, I feel like its hype remains to be a hype. Anyway, I think you are better off trying out other anti-aging products in the market. Though it is hard to find the best for you, I think taking time to search and try is still worthwhile because we still benefit in the long run. Hopefully, you are able to find yours. Thank you again and take care!

  7. I’ll pass this up. The score was pretty explanatory and each chapter’s breakdown of details as to why is is rated as such is very easy to understand even for beginners in skin care like me.

    1. Hello Vera, this is Angelica. We appreciate your comment and thank you for sharing your thought of this product. We really think that this product is not the best but also not the worst so definitely it’s up to you if you want to give it a try. For our reviews, we really see to it that we are able to communicate the information we found based on our research and/or experiences effectively because if we aren’t able to then it would all be useless. An information unutilized is as good as nothing. With that, I would also like to share about GenF20 because it’s worth giving a try. It’s an orally taken anti-aging product live beverly hills MD. However, it is proven to be more effective, worth the price for its quality, and safe. Basically, it’s a good deal but definitely, it is up to you. All the best and hope this helps.

  8. Hello, I bought the Beverly Hills – Dermal Repair Complex Pills, 3 months ago.
I finished them all. They were for 3 months exactly. There is no change in my skin. It looks the same as before I started this complex. My hair is falling all a lot and I don’t know if it’s a side affect of this producto. I go through lots of nights without sleeping. I don’t know if these pills are the cause of all my problems. I am 76 year’s old. I would appreciate if you could recommend some product that you know it’s best.
    Thank you so much.
    Josefa

    1. Hi Josefa, I’m really sorry to hear about these problems you’re dealing with. Did your hair loss begin only after taking these pills? You might want to check your ferritin, zinc, vitamin B and vitamin D levels, as these are some very common causes of hair loss. This supplement may have prevented one of these nutrients’ absorption, so this may be an explanation why your hair is falling out that badly.

The product I would recommend you is GenF20 Plus, because it makes the best supplement against aging I looked into. It’s also designed as a supplement, so it works from the inside. But unlike Beverly Hills MD’s product, it works by increasing your body’s natural HGH production, which has a major impact on skin and general health. So it’s the best product I know against aging, mostly because it works from the inside out. There are also some creams you might want to check out (especially Kollagen Intensiv). But an internal product will probably work a lot better for you, since you’re not in your 50s anymore.

I really hope this helps you and please keep me updated on this.

  9. Used this for my skin and its really effective. I the wrinkles on my face before disappeared without trace. I know that it is not a miracle product but this is just it for me. Nothing is instantaneous so you really have to be patient, trusting, and committed to the product to feel and see the result. I don’t know why the rating is quite low here… Anyway, definitely recommended!

    -Jasper

    1. Hey Jasper, this is Angelica. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with this product. So glad that it worked out great for you because honestly, some product just works so well with some people though sometimes it does not with other. It is understandable that you like this product. As we have said in our review of Beverly Hills MD, it is something that we neither recommend nor unrecommend. It is totally up to the consumers if they want to give it a try since we are just here to provide information and unbiased judgement. I totally agree that in everything that we do, not only in skin care, we must do our best, be patient, as well as trusting.

  10. Loved the product before I switched to Kollagen intensiv which I found here in your website. Before, I thought that the Dermal Repair Complex from Beverly Hills MD is the best product. I made the switch because your review about it sounds so genuine and convincing and thank heavens that I took a leap. And so, I really like your site and I subscribed to you yt.

    More power,
    Elvie

    1. Hello, Elvie. I’m Angelica. Thanks you for trusting us to the point of subscribing to our channel! We really appreciate your kind words and action. Honestly, Kollagen Intensiv is the best anti-aging product that we came across with. It literally does what it promises to although although of course, it’s not an instant solution to the problem. As the commenter above had said, commitment is the key. So glad that you made a switch and even liked it too. Though we do not get money from the companies behind the products, we are already happy enough to be of help to people like you. Thank you so much for your feedback and stay safe.

  11. Hey, thanks for the review. Found this too late but better late than never, yes?

I tried this product way back and experienced nausea, headache, and weakness. I thought it was normal because of the really hot whether. So, I continued using it and the symptoms I felt were not getting any lesser. And now, I decided to stop using it all together because this is the only product that I have been using in addition to my normal routine. With that, I would like to say that although it may just be me that has experienced this, I would really love it if you people still take caution when purchasing this product. There is not much I can do now but reflect on what happened. Also, I don’t think I can go back again to orally taken product for anti-aging.

    Thank you,
    Larie

    1. Hi Larie, it’s sad that you experienced such adverse effect. Thanks for sharing it with us. You made the right choice of stopping because if not, it may cause your body to have a much more severe reaction. If anyone is feeling such, it is better to stop immediately. With that, we thank you for the warning and reminder because often, because of our eagerness for better result, we forget to take caution and reflect if it’s still normal or not. This is the reason why I personally prefer and recommend Kollagen Intensive. In fact, topical products for skin care such as these creams are more effective than the ones orally taken, according to studies.

      Best regards,
      Angelica
