My Review: Fungicure Antifungal Liquid (2023) – Really Works?

It’s time to review Fungicure Antifungal Liquid – which seems to be a decent fungus product.

But is it totally worth it? Or will it cost you more in the long run?:

Let's get into the real details – to see if this treatment is worth trying or not.

#1 – Claims & Producer

First of all, here's the basic info you should know about Fungicure:

• how it works
• who is the producer behind
• health issues it treats

1. Claims

Fungicure Antifungal Liquid claims to provide “visible results in as little as 4 weeks.”

According to its claims:

• cures the infection
• removes nail-bed fungus
• allows the re-growth of healthy tissue

Again, there are 3 different versions of Fungicure:

• Maximum Strength Anti-Fungal Liquid
• Intensive Maximum Strength Anti-Fungal Spray
• Maximum Strength Anti-Fungal Liquid Gel Instant-Dry Formula

But the first one is by far the most popular, so I will focus my review on it. 

The product claim to kill 6 types of fungus that can cause toenail infections.

Now – I can only consider this product a basic remedy.

That's because it's not versatile enough to cure fungal infections in other parts of the body.

Also – the product is not really designed for toenails (unlike its claims)

• works on the area around/underneath 
• not effective for fungus inside the toenail

Now, most fungi are located inside the toenail.

Since it's almost impossible to apply the product there, it's very hard for it to work.

So don't be fooled by the label – because it's not really for toenails.

2. Company Behind

The company behind this fungal product is called Alva-Amco Pharmacal.

It has a professional website and here's what I notice so far:

• owns different brands of supplements/treatments
• sells products for pain, blood, weight, fungi, nausea, skin, etc. 
• contact info includes phone number, email, address, and contact page (website)

I looked into the products it sells and I saw some authentic customer reviews.

That's a good sign that the brand is legit and used by many.

Overall – I would say it's safe to buy their products and it's up to you if you want to try them out.

#2 – Ingredients (6 out of 10)

Now – don't expect to read a lot of info in this chapter.

That's because Fungicure Antifungal Liquid has only one active ingredient.

The rest of its ingredients are inactive compounds.

In other words – they have no role when it comes to destroying fungus build-up.

Now, the active ingredient inside this product is a classic anti-fungus substance.

So it's definitely effective (at least in the short run).

But here's what you should know about the product's formula.

1. Active Ingredient

The only active compound present in Fungicure is Tolnaftate 1%.

As I said, it's a classic ingredient against fungus:

• stops fungi growth [1]
• treats infection
• reduces the itchy feeling

 You can actually find this compound in some OTC anti-fungal creams.

That's why its effect is definitely strong and real (but rather short).

2. Inactive Ingredients

Here are the rest of the ingredients inside this product:

1. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) – acts as an antioxidant
2. Isopropyl Alcohol – works as an antimicrobial [2]
3. Polyethylene Glycol – helps treat infections

Now, all of these compounds have some benefits.

But since they're labeled as inactive, they're not really used for their existing benefits.

Instead – they are meant to help the product's consistency.

Conclusion

Overall – I would say that the product is pretty decent.

But again, it's not effective the fungus inside the toenails and it doesn't work very fast.

That's why I'm not a very big fan of it.

It's surely not a scam – but it's not amazing either.

#3 – Consistency & Dosage (7 out of 10)

So here's what you should know about Fungicure's looks.

1. Consistency

Let me describe the product's consistency briefly:

• clear to cloudy color
• runny liquid
• strong alcohol scent

Basically – it smells like alcohol (but the scent is a little stronger).

I'm personally not a huge fan of this fragrance.

But if it doesn't bother you, that's surely not a problem.

2. Dosage

Based on the product packaging, here's how you should use it:

1. Clean the infected area thoroughly and dry it.
2. Apply a thin layer of the product over the affected area.
3. Use twice daily (morning and night or as prescribed).

Now – you can also see some extra tips in the instructions:

• works for athlete's foot, ringworm, and irritations
• it's not effective for the scalp/nails

Lastly, people with sensitive skin and under 18 years should consult a doctor first. 

#4 – Results (5 out of 10)

Firstly – I checked Fungicure's customer reviews on Amazon and I managed to find enough real ones.

I always do this for 2 reasons:

• to see how a certain product works for  different people
• to avoid giving you a biased view

Note: I only analyzed authentic reviews, not promotional or fake ones.

1. Positive Opinions

As I said, this supplement is sold on Amazon and it has plenty of user feedback.

So here is what satisfied customers said about it:

1. A lot of comments are about the product being effective.
2. Some noticed changes and relief in just 2 weeks.
3. Others said that it cleared up their fungus infection.

Now, its overall rating is 4.1 stars out of 5.

That's not an amazing number, but it's a good product overall.

So it definitely works in most cases (especially if your fungus is around your toenails).

2. Negative Opinions

On the other hand – there are the complaints of some customers:

1. Most people said that the product is misleading and it doesn't work for toenails.
2. Some didn't really see any changes or improvements.
3. The rest said that it was too weak or took too long to work.

Overall – I would say that its complaints are quite numerous (for a product that should work pretty fast).

That's because its label is pretty misleading.

It appears to be designed for toenail fungus – when it's not really so.

That's where all these negative reviews come from.

Conclusion

If you ask me, I suggest you read the product label carefully.

Since Fungicure doesn't work for all types of toenail fungus, it may not work in your case either.

That's why I don't really recommend it.

For an anti-fungus supplement, it's not an amazing product.

#5 – Side Effects (8 out of 10)

So far – I haven't found any complaints about its side effects.

That might be because Fungicure is pretty weak.

But if you ask me, here are some possible issues:

• irritation/allergic reactions
• burning sensations
• stingy or painful feeling

Now, these side effects tend to appear in products that contain alcohol. 

Fungicure does contain it, so it has a higher risk.

But other than that, this product may not cause anything, because of its formula.

So this product is safe for us if you ask me.

#6 – Price (7 out of 10)

The best thing about Fungicure Antifungal Liquid is its price.

Honestly, it's just right for the product's quality.

1. The Exact Price

Now, the product is available on different retail websites (as stated by the brand).

You can find it on  Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Instacart, and many others.

But I want to focus on Amazon:

1. A pack costs $8.48
2. There's free delivery (on selected dates)
3. The product is returnable

I also want to point out that a pack contains a bottle or 30 ml (1.0 fl.oz.) of product.

So if you're going to use just a drop, the product might last a month.

But otherwise – I doubt it could last more than 2 weeks.

Now, the problem is that the product claims to work in as little as 4 weeks.

This means you need to use it for this period (in the worst case).

In other words – you will probably need more than one pack, which isn't that cheap anymore.

2. Competitors’ Price

If you're looking for a better alternative, I have my top recommended anti-fungal treatment.

The product I'm talking about is Kerassentials:

1. Kerassentials has a lot of essential ingredients.
2. Its formulation works for all types of fungus (so it's versatile).
3. Fungicure contains only one active ingredient.
4. The formula isn't designed for toenails (but for the area around/underneath).
5. Kerassentials is a topical treatment and it should be applied 4 times a day.
6. Fungicure needs to be applied twice daily.
7. Kerassentials costs $69 normally.
8. You can also find it for about $49/bottle.
9. On the other hand, Fungicure Antifungal Liquid's price is only $8.48.

In my opinion, both products have different features.

But if you really want to get rid of the fungus, choose Kerassentials.

I only see Fungicure as a cheap remedy for a quick fix.

But ironically – Kerassentials actually works a lot faster (sometimes even within days).

That's an extra reason why I consider it much better.

Conclusion

Overall – Fungicure is only good if you have mild fungus around your toenails.

It is indeed cheap, nothing to complain about.

But there are some huge chances that it doesn't work for you. 

That's why I recommend you a better alternative.

#7 – Final Conclusions

So here are my final thoughts about Fungicure.

1. Basic Formula

The overall formulation of the product consists of only one active ingredient.

It's true that its unique ingredient is a potent one.

So if you ask me, Fungicure should definitely work.

But don't expect too much from it – as it depends on your fungus' location.

2. Misleading Label

You may be tempted to think that Fungicure Antifungal Liquid is designed for toenails.

But in reality, it's meant for:

• athlete's foot
• ringworm
• feet irritations

In other words – it's meant for fungus around or underneath toenails (somewhere where the product can be applied).

If you can't apply it directly to its location, it won't work at all.

There's indeed a warning on its label, but that doesn't help a lot.

3. Affordable Price

The good thing about Fungicure is its low price.

For just $8.48, you will get a box of  30 ml (1.0 fl.oz.) of product.

Considering its basic quality, this price is definitely suitable.

My Verdict – Worth It Or Not?

Short answer: Not really – there are several issues with it:

1. Can only be used on a limited area
2. Misleading product label
3. Contains only one active compound
4. Basic formula
5. Weak for prevention

Now – I'm not saying that it's a bad product.

But I think it's only good for foot fungus only.

It's not suitable for other infections in different parts of the body.

Plus – it only works if you apply it directly on your fungus (nails work as a cover).

So if you're looking for a more versatile alternative, try my #1 recommendation.

The product I'm talking about is Kerassentials:

• Contains many essential ingredients
• Works for all types of fungus
• Its effect lasts for a long time
• Safe with minimal chances of side effects

The product might be a little pricey at first.

But if you think about it, it works for almost all types of fungus (and in the long run).

So overall, it's safe to say that Kerassentials is a good investment.
