Personal Trainer Food In A Nutshell

Personal Trainer Food is a diet program that aims to make weight loss easy.

In fact, it makes everything convenient for you…

By delivering ready-made meals straight to your door.

If you're wondering, here's what this program offers in terms of meal plans:

  1. Rev!™
  2. Core
  3. You Choose

The first option offers lots of extras, while the second one is quite basic.

Naturally, the custom option lets you personalize everything to your liking.

However, be aware that PTF is not that inclusive if you have allergies or follow a strict diet.

Not to mention that it also does not offer the most extensive menu.

When it comes to what sets this program apart from others…

Personal Trainer Food claims to deliver “real” food, compared to its competitors.

However, user feedback brings up some issues:

  • PTF food is actually highly processed
  • delivery service is lacking in quality

If anything, customers are experiencing the opposite.

Naturally, the quality of the food makes or breaks any diet program.

If people are not able to enjoy the food, they are not going to stick around.

Not to mention that Personal Trainer Food is too expensive for what you're getting.

For that kind of price tag, you should have higher expectations.

All in all, I definitely think that PTF is not anything to write home about.

Therefore, you are better off looking for a better option.

What is Personal Trainer Food?

In the most simple way, Personal Trainer Food is a meal delivery service:

  • lots of protein
  • “real” food
  • no processed sugars and starches

Given that it delivers food that is ready-made, you don't have to cook at all.

Of course, this also means that you are not expected to calculate calories.

In other words, this program is highly convenient.

It simplifies the weight loss process quite a bit in this sense.

You just have to heat everything in order to enjoy it.

Much like other similar services, Personal Trainer Food is subscription-based.

Also, you get to choose between two pre-made plans:

  1. Rev!™ – enables rapid weight loss and many other perks.
  2. Core – reliable weight loss and includes lunch and dinner, email support & weight loss coaching.

As you can see, there is a bit of a difference between the two.

Rev!™ is obviously the premium subscription:

  • daily email support
  • weekly weight loss calls
  • one-on-one weight loss coaching
  • water bottle
  • tape measure
  • lunch kit

This is likely why it also has a higher price.

However, you decide if you would like to make use of all the added bonuses.

Additionally, Personal Trainer Food also gives you the option to create your personal plan.

That means that you can maximize the convenience factor…

As well as customize the options to your liking.

Therefore, you are sure to find a way to make this program work for you…

For the most part, at least.

One flaw I can notice immediately is that this might not be for vegans and/or vegetarians.

Still, let's see how everything works in more detail.

#2 – How It Works & History

Let's get to the more pragmatic side of Personal Trainer Food:

  • how it takes action
  • whether or not it's for you
  • its history
1. How It Works

The official website claims that their food is ideal for weight loss:

  • healthy carbs
  • protein
  • fats

In other words, they claim that compared to other diets, Personal Trainer Food only consists of good nutrients.

When it comes to how this program differs from others…

You may notice that the company brings up that their foods are “real” compared to competitors.

They put a lot of emphasis on this, claiming that PTF is able to keep you full for longer…

While also teaching you how to eat healthily for the rest of your life.

Not to mention that it is also said that the food is very delicious.

We know that the majority of diet meals tend to have less flavor.

It is true that it can be difficult to find tasty recipes when you are avoiding so many ingredients…

Now – it is interesting to note that this program also has some guidelines.

This reinforces the fact that it is very determined to leave a long-lasting impact on your lifestyle:

  • healthy eating instructions
  • easy daily exercises
  • additional valuable information

Naturally, working out is also a part of the weight loss process.

That being said, it is good that they also encourage you to stay active.

After all, exercise goes hand in hand with shedding extra pounds [1].

Of course, another aspect that this program brings up is self-discipline.

You have to be able to stick to the plan if you are looking to lose weight efficiently.

Here's the most interesting bit – PTF claims you can lose a significant amount of weight…

In as little as 4 weeks!

This is how they describe the process:

  • begin by fasting for 24-48 hours
  • only eat PTF foods
  • walk 2000 steps daily
  • your body starts to detoxify (starting with 2nd week)
  • from the 3rd week onwards, the weight loss is very visible

When presented like that, everything sounds very simple and attainable.

However, it is clearly not for everyone, that is for sure.

2. History

As far as I could tell, the official website does not offer much info regarding this.

On this note, there is very limited information when it comes to the history of this brand.

However, what I could read is that it was founded in 2012.

Other than that, I really could not find much in terms of their background.

Usually, companies have an “About Us” page on the official website.

However, it looks like PTF did not bother with such a section.

#3 – Weight Loss Plans (6 out of 10)

It is time to look more in-depth at the Personal Trainer Food plans.

Let us see what these do in order to help you lose weight!

1. Rev!™ Meal Plan

As previously stated, this is supposed to be PTF's premium plan:

  • breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • daily email support
  • weekly weight loss calls
  • 1-on-1 weight loss coaching
  • water bottle
  • tape measure
  • lunch kit

According to the official website, this plan accelerates the pace of your weight loss.

However, given that it only seems to give you additional support…

It is not clear what exactly makes this option more effective than the alternative.

Still, if you think the coaching will help you stay motivated…

By all means, this may be a worthy option.

2. Core Meal Plan

Predictably enough, this plan is a watered-down version of the premium one:

  • lunch & dinner (breakfast & snacks count as add-ons)
  • email support
  • weight loss coaching

If you feel like you can hold your own without additional support…

Then you can totally make do with this plan.

However, it is a shame that breakfast is not included.

This means that you end up paying extra for that anyway.

In case you want it, of course.

3. Custom Meal Plan

As you would expect, this option lets you pick whatever you want:

  • lets you choose any combination of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
  • maximizes flexibility

Apparently, the other meal plans have predetermined types of meals.

So this option lets you choose any foods you like…

With no limits.

So if the other plans do not organize the meals in a way that you like…

Know that you can always choose this option instead.

Conclusion

In all honesty, I don't find the meal plans to be particularly inclusive.

If you have severe dietary restrictions for whatever reason…

I simply don't think Personal Trainer Food is for you.

Not to mention that their more affordable plans have a pre-determined combination of meals…

Which they compensate for by selling a more expensive option that lets you pick whatever you like.

It just rubs me the wrong way.

I really think you can do much better than this.

#4 – Meals & Menu (6 out of 10)

In this section, we will take a closer look at the meals PTF offers.

Let's get to the details.

1. The Menu

The most important aspect of the meals PTF delivers is that they are frozen.

In other words, this saves you some time that you would otherwise spend cooking.

However, this also means that you cannot control the portion size…

Or enjoy fresh food, so keep that in mind.

Make sure that this is a compromise that you are alright with.

Also, keep in mind that the majority of meals contain allergens.

That being said, if you happen to have severe allergies…

I don't think Personal Trainer Food is safe for you.

Other than that, be aware that this program works best if you also consume vegetables.

They are so important that PTF also delivers servings of veggies…

Just to make sure you also work them into your diet.

So be sure you don't pass up on those.

Also, the website has special icons for foods that are either:

  • spicy
  • have less than 733mg of sodium

Feel free to use them to your advantage.

Other than that, there doesn't seem to be anything too special regarding the menu.

2. The Meals

Time to talk about the food!

On that note, let's see what there is for breakfast:

  1. Canadian Bacon & Egg Patty
  2. Cheddar Omelet & Turkey Sausage
  3. Frittata Bacon
  4. Egg Bites

Next, here are a couple of entrees that you can eat for either lunch and/or dinner:

  1. Italian Sausage
  2. Beef and Chicken Meatballs
  3. Italian Meatballs
  4. Sous Vide Chicken Breast
  5. Nashville Hot Chicken Sticks
  6. Roasted Turkey Breast

Let's get to the vegetables:

  1. Brussels Sprouts
  2. Riviera Blend
  3. Roasted Blend
  4. PTF Blend
  5. Oriental Stir Fry
  6. Caribbean Blend

Last but not least, here's what you can look forward to if you want some snacks:

  1. Colby Jack Cheese Stick
  2. Pumpkin Seeds
  3. Cajun Almonds
  4. Chili Almonds
  5. Chocolate Shake
  6. Vanilla Shake

In all fairness, these sound pretty nice.

Also, keep in mind that you can check the nutritional info online.

That way, you can decide in due time whether or not the food is right for you.

Once again, everything arrives ready-made…

So you don't have to prepare anything at all.

Still, I am not convinced that this menu could serve everyone.

In fact, there are quite a few issues when it comes to inclusivity…

As I have already told you.

#5 – Results (7 out of 10)

As we have seen in the “History” part, Personal Trainer Food has been around for a while.

This means that we can easily gather user feedback to see the program's reputation.

After all, it's all about the results reported by the clients, right?

Let's take a look at what people think of PTF.

Note: I only considered authentic reviews, not promotional/fake ones.

1. Positive Reviews

First and foremost, let's look at the positive side.

On this note, although the official website has a section dedicated to success stories…

I would much rather stick to 3rd party websites.

That way, I know for a fact that the reviews are not biased.

Anyway, here's what people enjoyed about Personal Trainer Food:

  1. Some people claimed they really lost weight thanks to PTF.
  2. Quite a few people praised the taste of the entrees.
  3. Customers also liked how convenient PTF is.
  4. People said it is easy to stick to this diet without cheating.
  5. A few customers also praised the delivery service.

Someone observed that this program works well in terms of Ketogenic diets:

These reviews are definitely reassuring.

It is important to know that people attest to the program's claims.

Also, customers also say that the food from PTF tastes quite nice.

Keep this in mind as we look through the less favorable reviews.

2. Negative Reviews

Whenever you're considering a purchase, make sure you don't ignore negative feedback.

In many cases, it can be just as important as the positive one.

It can bring up problems that you would not think about otherwise.

That way, you know what you're getting into ahead of time.

Now – here's what people were having issues with when it comes to PTF:

  1. Lots of people claimed that the food tasted foul.
  2. Some also found mold in a few of the packages.
  3. Customers also said that PTF food is highly processed.
  4. A lot of complaints regarding the quality of customer care.
  5. People were also very unhappy with the delivery service.

It looks like PTF has particularly faulty delivery services:

Much emphasis is put on taste and delivery when it comes to PTF.

That must mean that there is something amiss there.

People comparing the texture of food with plastic is far from good.

But, then again, some people don't even get to try the food because it arrives thawed…

Conclusion

As you can tell, the user feedback is quite contradictory.

While some people claim that the taste is just right, others say the opposite.

The same happens with delivery: some praise it, and others think it's the worst.

Then – who do you trust?

Honestly, I would recommend going for a program that is more consistently received.

#6 – Side Effects (7 out of 10)

The user feedback did not offer much in terms of adverse reactions.

Because of this, we cannot know to what degree PTF is safe or unsafe.

Personal Food TrainerAs such, it's important to look for some general symptoms:

  • exhaustion
  • very little energy
  • feeling bloated

Generally, your body might react like this whenever your diet undergoes dramatic changes.

Normally, nothing should escalate, so you should not worry.

Still, be sure to keep an eye on the situation, just in case.

If the situation escalates, you might even deal with diarrhea and/or abdominal cramping.

Also – since some customers mentioned receiving thawed food or mold…

Be aware that eating food that is not in an optimal state may result in food poisoning.

As such, if your food arrives in questionable conditions…

It's best to avoid eating it.

#7 – Price (6 out of 10)

In general, meal delivery services are not the most affordable.

Or, at the very least, this applies to most options of this kind.

Let's see – is this also true for Personal Trainer Food?

1. The Exact Price

To face the truth, PTF is definitely not that affordable.

Of course, it's also far from having an exorbitant price point…

Still, it would be safe to place PTF somewhere in the middle.

Here are the exact price points:

  • Rev!™ – $18 per day.
  • Core – $15 per day.
  • You Choose – $19 per day.

Now – the price may not seem all that high on its own.

But when the days start to add up, it starts to get a little high.

For example, 2 weeks of the Core Plan amounts to $216.30.

Keep in mind that this is only for the first delivery, though.

Afterward, you have to pay the full price, which is $309.

2. Competitor's Price

If Personal Trainer Food happens to be too expensive for you…

Let me suggest Nutrisystem – my top recommendation for a weight-loss meal plan:

  1. When it comes to shedding pounds, Nutrisystem is better.
  2. Not to mention that it's safer for people with dietary restrictions.
  3. Plus, it also offers a much more customizable experience.
  4. Have I mentioned that Nutrisystem also has a much more diverse menu?
  5. Last but not least, my recommendation is also more affordable, starting at $9.99 per day.

That being said, I strongly believe that Nutrisystem is much better for you.

Especially if you happen to have a rather strict diet.

As we have seen, PTF is not really that welcoming when it comes to this type of crowd.

So it's ideal to find something that will cater to your specific needs.

Conclusion

All things considered, Personal Trainer Food is not really worth the money.

In any case, it seems too expensive for what it's really worth.

For such a price point, you would expect a much larger menu…

And a more inclusive selection.

Unfortunately, PTF does not live up to these standards.

All in all, I suggest looking for something better.

#8 – Final Conclusions

Now that the article is coming to an end, let's remember what we discussed about Personal Trainer Food.

1. Promotes Fasting

Although fasting has some benefits, take care when using this method.

While it can lead to weight loss among other advantages, it can also be dangerous.

For example, if you have diabetes, long periods of fasting can lead to spikes in blood sugar [2].

Plus, anyone who is fasting for too long can start to feel lightheaded or dizzy.

That's because it can deplete the minerals and vitamins in your body.

Therefore, proceed with caution.

2. Not The Most Inclusive Menu

As we already discussed, it doesn't seem like Personal Trainer Food caters to dietary restrictions.

If you have severe allergies, you are better off looking for something different.

Not to mention being vegan/vegetarian – there is not much that PTF can offer in these cases.

Unfortunately, this program leaves a lot to be desired in this regard.

3. Too Expensive For What It Offers

Taking everything into account, I don't think PTF is worth the price.

Sure – it's not the most exorbitant price tag I have come across…

But it definitely does not make me want to spend that kind of money on this program.

For that kind of price, I believe you should have higher standards.

My Verdict – Worth It Or Not?

Short answer: No, just look for something better.

Personal Food TrainerI don't think there's anything that makes PTF stand out:

  1. Good for weight loss.
  2. Promotes fasting.
  3. Based on processed foods.
  4. Everything arrives frozen.
  5. Not very attentive when it comes to dietary restrictions.
  6. Many complaints when it comes to the quality of delivery service.
  7. Too expensive for what it offers.

As such, Personal Trainer Food failed to impress me.

While it may be good enough in some aspects…

There are other things that just feel very lackluster.

That being said, it is not difficult to find a better alternative on the market.

For example, remember when I mentioned Nutrisystem?

I assure you that it's my top recommendation for a weight-loss meal plan for good reason:

  • very efficient in terms of losing weight
  • caters to people with dietary restrictions
  • high degree of customization
  • superior in quality despite being more affordable

For these reasons, I am more than sure that you would love Nutrisystem!

Based on what I have reviewed so far, there is nothing that comes close to it.

Be sure to give it a chance.
